Hawaiian and combination slices at Seongsu pizzeria Pizza Slice Seoul
In short
Pizza Slice Seoul is a slice-pizza shop in a basement space five minutes from Seongsu Station Exit 2 in Seongdong, Seoul. On a return visit with a companion, the order was a Hawaiian cheese slice, the combination pizza of the day and fries, and the crust was thick yet firm enough to finish down to the edge. Rare for Seongsu-dong, Pizza Slice Seoul spaces its tables generously and even sets aside a hand-washing area, so it gets both comfort and flavour right.

When people say "Seongsu-dong vibe restaurant," it usually means a converted-factory look. Tables packed so close you end up eavesdropping on the next table's conversation whether you want to or not... Honestly I love that hipster vibe, but this place has a different kind of charm.

I stumbled onto Pizza Slice Seoul last time with zero expectations, and it turned out so clean and the pizza so overwhelmingly good that I'd been telling myself I had to come back. Good memories don't lie, so this time I revisited with a companion.
How to find Pizza Slice Seoul: 5 minutes from Seongsu Station Exit 2
Pizza Slice Seoul sits on the basement level of a building about a 5-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 2. Come out of Exit 2 on Line 2, walk straight for about 5 minutes, and a spotlessly clean building suddenly appears on your left. The shop is tucked inside that building.

Everything so white, so many plants, looks so good!! Seeing an exterior this crisp and well-arranged already puts me at ease before I even step inside.

The whole feel from the entrance on is clean and no-frills. You can really tell the building is newly built.

Tables this far apart in Seongsu-dong?
The dining hall at Pizza Slice Seoul is unusually spacious by Seongsu-dong standards. You feel the vastness the moment you walk in... the spacing here is wider than anything you'd normally find in Seongsu-dong.

There are 2-person and 4-person tables, plus a sizable communal table in the center. You can tell they didn't get greedy with the layout and instead prioritized comfortable flow for guests. If it suits your taste, this is a gorgeous space that would work perfectly as a Seongsu-dong date spot.
So spacious!!

Interestingly, there's a passage that leads directly into the café next door. That solves your second-round coffee logistics right away — perfect for someone like me who hates a messy route between places.

Ordering by the slice at Pizza Slice Seoul: how to choose
Pizza Slice Seoul runs on a by-the-slice ordering system, and it also carries a fairly diverse lineup of beer and cocktails. Let's scan the menu board. The setup is basically optimized for casually knocking back a pizza-and-beer combo.

A single slice is genuinely huge. That big, hefty presence unique to American-style pizza slices... seeing it in person, you'd think one slice per person would be plenty.

The jalapeño cream cheese pizza looks insane. Spicy heat plus thick, gooey cream cheese — there's no way that combo isn't delicious. Mentally reserved that one for later.

I wondered why a pizza place had scones, but seeing the golden-baked garlic scone, they seem pretty serious about it.

In one corner of the shop you can watch a staff member personally kneading the dough. It's an open kitchen structure where you can see everything, which really builds trust on the hygiene front.
Those hands working the dough with such flair... so tidy it's satisfying just to watch!!

How the Hawaiian cheese pizza and combination pizza of the day taste
This time at Pizza Slice Seoul I picked two slices: the Hawaiian cheese pizza and the combination pizza, which was the pizza of the day. Finally, our first order arrives — the Hawaiian cheese pizza. I know some people hate pineapple on pizza, but this Hawaiian slice wasn't overly sweet, which was just right.

The combination pizza that came out as today's pizza. Pepperoni, vegetables, and meat toppings piled on generously without holding back. The classics never let you down.

Honestly, the pizza tastes overwhelmingly good. I lifted a slice up to check the thickness — thicker than a thin, papery crust but not so thick and bready as a regular pan pizza. A very sturdy, ideal dough that doesn't sag or go limp. And even the outer crust edge is crispy and chewy enough that you end up eating the whole thing, nothing left behind.

Sauce corner, fries and a hand-washing area inside
On one side of the table, hot sauce, ketchup, pepper, oregano, red pepper flakes and more are neatly laid out so you can season your slice to taste.

As expected, piling on plenty of garlic powder is the unofficial national rule for pizza among Koreans.

The fries we ordered as a side came out very cleanly fried too. It's a pizza place, but even the side fries are seriously delicious.

And the detail that impressed me most at Pizza Slice Seoul: they've thoughtfully set up a spot to wash your hands comfortably before and after eating... genuinely touching. (I didn't get a photo, but for the record, the restroom was also kept extremely clean.)

Was the second visit to this Seongsu slice-pizza shop worth it?
A wide, airy space with generous table spacing, and everything from the pizza dough to the fries kept clean and never greasy. Not a single bad impression left from this second visit — it was practically perfect. A place that nails both comfort and taste, so there's no reason not to recommend it.
