Kid-friendly Seongsu pizzeria at weekday opening: Pizza Slice Seoul
In short
Pizza Slice Seoul is a slice pizzeria on the basement level of 159 Achasan-ro near Seongsu Station in Seongdong, Seoul, a shop that started in Tokyo. Four adults and a 6-year-old niece arrived at weekday opening time and shared four slices — mushroom, jalapeño cream cheese, Hawaiian and meatball — with two soft drinks that came with one free refill, for 36,400 won in total. Each slice at Pizza Slice Seoul was bigger than a hand, so even cut five ways it made a filling meal.

A Seongsu pizza spot straight from Tokyo, Pizza Slice Seoul Open daily 11:00–20:00
Pizza Slice, famous as a hot spot in Tokyo too, has landed in Seoul. Squeal — Actually, way back whenever I traveled to Tokyo I'd always jot down Pizza Slice as a place to try, but I kept eating other Japanese food instead and pizza always got pushed to the back burner. When I heard they'd opened one in Korea I really wanted to go, and I finally made it. Since it's the hot spot of hot spots, the location is perfectly Seongsu too! Here's my review of Pizza Slice, the Seongsu pizza place that came from Tokyo :)
What the basement shop at Seongsu Station looks like
Pizza Slice Seoul is a slice-pizza shop in a basement level at 159 Achasan-ro, Seongdong-gu, open every day from 11:00 to 20:00. We got there right at weekday opening time, but people had already beaten us there — what's up with that, haha.

Since Pizza Slice is such a famous hot spot pizzeria, there were a lot of foreign tourists too, and plenty of people coming for morning dates. The space is pretty big, but because it's such a hot spot there can be waits during busy weekend hours. Lots of people order takeout too. Once the weather gets nicer, grabbing this to go for a picnic at Seoul Forest sounds great! It's a basement store, but the space is designed to let light in so it's bright, and the space itself feels very much like a hot spot too.

A pizza + drink combo runs roughly around ₩10,000, so you can eat well for what feels like ₩10,000 worth of happiness. There's a good variety of pizzas too, so it's fun picking which ones to get.

There were four of us plus our little niece, so we ordered four pizza slices and two soft drinks. Since soft drinks come with one free refill, we only bought two!

- Jalapeño cream cheese ₩7,400

- Meatball ₩7,800
- Cola, Fanta ₩3,000 x 2

The pizza slices are seriously huge too — bigger than your hand! Here comes the piping hot, fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza

Mushroom, Hawaiian or jalapeño cream cheese: which slice tasted best?
Of the four slices we picked at Pizza Slice Seoul, my favorite was the mushroom. Heh heh — meatball, Hawaiian, mushroom, jalapeño cream cheese. I picked mushroom because it looked the tastiest, and personally, mushroom really was my favorite. 'Hey niece, mushrooms are healthy, eat lots!' And then my 6-year-old niece happily ate the mushroom pizza too. It's piled really high with mushrooms.

The four adults and our little one split everything nicely between the five of us, and since the slices are so big, we all ended up full for one solid meal. Every single one was delicious. I liked mushroom best (my niece did too), my sibling liked Hawaiian best, and the other two liked jalapeño best. If you like a moderately spicy pizza, I recommend the jalapeño. Next time I want to try the most classic classics — pepperoni and cheese pizza. It was so good because it was fresh and piping hot out of the oven. There's hot sauce and other condiments set out on the tables, so feel free to add sauce to your taste :)

Do soft drinks come with a refill at Pizza Slice Seoul?
Drinks can be refilled once My niece followed along to get a refill and it was so cute, hehe

My niece loves pizza too, so I think Pizza Slice Seongsu is going to become our regular spot. Once the weather warms up, let's get takeout and go for a picnic at Seoul Forest too.

Who this Seongsu pizza spot is worth a trip for
If you're looking for a pizza place in Seongsu-dong, I'd recommend Pizza Slice Seoul. Nod nod — If you love pizza, definitely go. If you want a simple, quick meal, go go. If you're missing a Tokyo hot spot, go go go!
