The first thing to arrive at Bapjangin Express Bus Terminal Branch was the soft tofu potato stew. I chose spice level 2 (about Shin Ramyun level), and the broth had that sharp, clean kind of spiciness.

And here's the most important tip of all: adding ramen noodles to the potato stew is absolutely, positively non-negotiable!! 🍜✨

The perfectly cooked, fluffy potatoes and soft, silky tofu soak up the broth beautifully, and scooping out the slightly simmered ramen noodles to slurp down is the ultimate finishing move. How spicy is spice level 3 on the sizzling squid stir-fry?

The sizzling squid stir-fry with rice is ₩18,000, and we ordered it at spice level 3 (about Yeopddeok level) — a middling heat. For people who can handle spicy food fairly well like us, it was just the right kind of delicious and pleasantly spicy — totally hit the spot. 🔥

Above all, the squid wasn't chewy at all — it was stir-fried to a perfectly bouncy, springy texture, which made every bite amazing! The seasoning had soaked all the way through too, so the savory flavor really exploded. Piling the bouncy squid stir-fry and its sauce onto the wide bowl of rice that comes alongside and mixing it all together makes for a total rice-thief of a dish! 🍚

Oh! And one more thing — every table has gim flakes (seasoned seaweed flakes) ready to go. Pour in as much as you like and mix it all together with the squid stir-fry sauce and rice — you get this salty, nutty flavor that makes it even more delicious! 😋
