I stumbled across Sushi Resto while searching for good restaurants in Sodam-dong, and had been wanting to visit ever since. Even before going in, the exterior caught my eye with its warm, emotional vibe, and I was so curious 😃 The warm wood-tone atmosphere is really pretty. The place isn't huge or noisy, so I think it'd suit a date or a small gathering well.

There are bar, table, and room seating options, so you can sit wherever fits your group and purpose. The overall space is spacious with tables set comfortably apart rather than crammed together, giving it a more upscale feel without any sense of rush. The neat, tidy arrangement, everything lining up cleanly, creates a look that's both simple and polished.

There's a tablet PC for takeout orders and awards on display that prove the chef's skill. I visited hoping to eat really delicious sushi in a clean space, and the place was decorated even more beautifully than I expected.

As a casual sushi bar, Sushi Resto's menu is filled with a variety of sushi as you'd expect from a Japanese restaurant, along with rolls, rice bowls, sashimi, noodles, and fried dishes. Most items are priced in the ₩10,000-20,000 range, so you can eat well at a reasonable price. It's a great spot to order for yourself or order a bunch to share, and I'd recommend it for a Sejong date course, family meal out, or anniversary dinner. You can try each piece of sushi from the set menu, then order more of whichever piece you liked as an individual add-on.

A salad and sushi soy sauce come out per person! Buckwheat soba comes as the default, but it can be swapped for udon, so I chose udon for this dish and soba for another. The mini udon size is perfect for a light bite before the main dishes arrive and does a great job of whetting the appetite 😃

As you slurp down the noodles soaked in the deep udon broth, the ordered dishes start arriving one by one. Most menu items let you choose between udon or soba, so you can fill up well. If you want something warm, go for udon; if you want something cool and refreshing, go for soba. Both are delicious in their own way.

California roll 8 pieces with mini udon included

The California roll, packed with salmon roe, fills your mouth in one bite. It looks pretty but tastes great too! A little wasabi on top pairs nicely with the roll's mild kick, and the cucumber inside adds a crisp texture.

It comes as a set of 8 pieces, and even though the portion looked small, the size of each piece was large enough to fill me up quickly! You can feel the chef's attention to detail in every dish at Sushi Resto, made with carefully selected fresh ingredients.

The filling includes crab stick, egg, cucumber, and flying fish roe that pops in your mouth, all wrapped up in a roll with real charm. I always order California rolls at buffets because I love them, but the quality from a proper Japanese restaurant is on another level 👍🏻

The wagyu sushi 2p is made with premium-cut wagyu, generously torched right on top of the sushi. The meat was tender, and the onions and seasoning on top soaked in nicely, which I loved.

From the black sesame salad appetizer to the fresh sushi and California roll, if you're looking for delicious sushi, definitely give Sushi Resto a visit.
