Gwanggyo coffee shop to go: iced Americano and tiramisu, Café Diaz
In short
Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo is a café and dessert shop on basement level 1 of Galleria Gwanggyo in Suwon, Gyeonggi, near Gwanggyojungang Station. After lunch the writer ordered two iced Americanos and one spoonable tiramisu to take out, and the coffee, which is not sweet, went especially well with the soft tiramisu. Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo suits a quick post-lunch coffee and dessert on a shopping route rather than a long sit-down.

Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo Two iced Americanos and spoonable tiramisu, taken out after lunch ☕️🍰 (September 19, 2026)
After lunch my stomach is full, but somehow I always end up wanting a coffee. I tell myself I'm too full, and then coffee crosses my mind and off I go to a café again. 😂 That day too, after lunch I stopped by Galleria Gwanggyo and dropped into Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo on the basement level.

This time we didn't sit down — we simply took our order to go. We ordered 2 iced Americanos + a spoonable tiramisu.
Is the iced Americano at Café Diaz good after lunch?

Right after lunch I wasn't in the mood for anything sweet — an iced Americano was calling. We ordered two and each grabbed one.

We drank it on the move after taking it out, and the first sip was cool with that bitter coffee edge — Americano really does suit right after a meal. It wasn't too sweet, so it wasn't heavy to drink after lunch either. Sipping it felt like it cleanly cleared away the lingering taste of food in my mouth.

I think this is exactly the charm of a post-lunch Americano. 😊 After lunch you get a little drowsy, but one cold sip of Americano cleared my mouth and gave me a little jolt back to alertness.
Why a coffee-only plan turned into coffee plus dessert
Honestly that day I only meant to take out two iced Americanos. But once I saw the desserts, it was hard to just walk past.

In the end, I added one spoonable tiramisu! Barely any time had passed since lunch, and yet tiramisu still went right in, haha. Moments like this really convince me there's a separate stomach for dessert.
Spoonable tiramisu: how it tastes with the Americano

True to its name, this tiramisu is the kind you eat with a spoon.

One spoonful and it went down smoothly — good to eat alongside coffee.
The tiramisu had that signature sweet, soft flavor, and in between, the coffee's bitterness added something that made the two together work really well. I preferred alternating — one bite of tiramisu, one sip of Americano — over eating the tiramisu on its own. When the sweetness lingered in my mouth, the Americano would sweep it clean each time. So I ended up finishing it pretty happily. 😋 Right after lunch I first thought, "Can I even finish this?" — turned out that worry was unnecessary. Tiramisu just fits right in, haha.
Why dessert still fits after a full lunch
Having eaten a solid lunch and then still grabbing coffee plus tiramisu really proves people have a separate stomach for dessert. I thought I'd only need two iced Americanos, but it ended up being 2 iced Americanos + 1 tiramisu. Properly stocked up, in the end. 😂 Still, after eating it, I didn't think "shouldn't have bought that" — more like "good thing I got the tiramisu too." Coffee alone would've felt a bit plain, but with the sweet tiramisu alongside it made for a perfect post-lunch dessert.
A takeout stop while shopping at Galleria Gwanggyo
That day the goal wasn't to sit around in the café — it was simpler, just grabbing coffee and dessert to go after lunch. Since it's on the basement level of Galleria Gwanggyo, it was convenient to stop by on the way and take out coffee after lunch. Like us, you might go in thinking "we ate, let's grab a coffee" and end up thinking "oh, should we get a tiramisu too?" 🤣 That's exactly what happened to me.
Honest verdict on Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo
To sum up what I tasted that day: the iced Americano was a clean coffee, good to drink after lunch.

Drinking it cold left my mouth feeling refreshed, and since it wasn't sweet, it was easy to drink after a meal without feeling heavy. The spoonable tiramisu was soft and sweet, and eating it with the Americano meant it paired well with the coffee's bitterness. I especially liked the combo of eating tiramisu then taking a sip of Americano. After the sweetness, that bitter coffee note would come in and keep me reaching for more. 😊

A day where coffee crossed my mind after lunch and I ended up bringing home tiramisu too. I originally only meant to buy iced Americanos, but adding one dessert made coffee time even more enjoyable. It seems like at a café, the resolution to "just buy coffee" is always the first thing to crumble. 😂 Still, that day I properly enjoyed a sweet post-lunch dessert with the iced Americano and spoonable tiramisu combo. 🤎 Café Diaz also seems known for its handmade cakes. We only had the spoonable tiramisu, but with this level of quality, I bet the cakes are amazing too ^^
