Takeout dessert café in Suwon: peach cream cake slice at Café Diaz
In short
Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo is a takeout-only dessert café on basement level 1 of Galleria Gwanggyo in Suwon, Gyeonggi, open daily 10:30-20:30. A slice of peach cream cake, the signature Diaz latte and an iced peppermint were carried to the Cucina food court next door, where big chunks of peach set between the cream layers gave the cake real peach flavor. As long as you know Café Diaz has no seats of its own, it is a no-fail cake pick inside Galleria Gwanggyo.

I'm not usually someone who chases cake, but the peach cake here was so perfect, in looks and taste, that I had to write it up. Here's my honest visit!

How to find Café Diaz on B1 of Galleria Gwanggyo
Café Diaz is on the basement level of Galleria Gwanggyo. Take the escalator down to B1, then head left. Follow the path and you'll see a flower shop (XYSTUM) on your left.

Keep going straight just a little further, and today's destination, Café Diaz (DIAAZ), appears on your right!

What we ordered: peach cream cake and two drinks
The moment I arrived at Café Diaz, something hijacked my attention — the peach cream cake sitting in the display case.

It was piled high with fresh peach slices, and the peach flesh peeking through the cream looked seriously delicious.

So along with the peach cream cake, we ordered two drinks.
- ✔️ Peach cream cake (slice)
- ✔️ Signature Diaz latte
- ✔️ Iced peppermint
Does Café Diaz have seats? Eating at the Cucina food court
Café Diaz is a takeout-only shop with no seating of its own, so we set up at a table in the Cucina food court right next door.

Once seated, we took out everything we'd ordered.
What the peach cream cake tastes like
Now for the main event — tasting the cake. First, let's admire the look.

From above or from the side, it's a flawless-looking cake. Sponge, cream, and peach stacked in layers, with generous, thick peach slices piled on top without holding back.
Recently I had another peach cake that barely tasted like peach at all — just a ton of cream and disappointment. Café Diaz was completely different. One bite in and I was genuinely stunned 🤤

✔️ The peach on top: you can probably tell just from the photo, but each peach slice on top is sweet and fresh. The juice bursts out with each bite — it's clear they used properly ripe peaches.

✔️ The peach hidden in the cream: even more surprising was the peach tucked between the cream layers. Big chunks of peach flesh were generously packed between the sponge layers, and they practically melted in my mouth — the softness of the cream combined with the sweetness of the peach was a fantastic pairing 💕
Other cakes in the Café Diaz display case
Besides the peach cream cake, Café Diaz really does have a wide range of cakes. From fig cake, in season right now, to fruit cakes that look refreshing just to look at, the case was packed. There was also a sweet-and-slightly-bitter chocolate cream cake and a rich, dense Basque cheesecake, so there's plenty to choose from depending on your taste.

The peach cake was so shockingly good that it naturally made me curious about the other flavors too!
Verdict: who should visit Café Diaz
A random 30 minutes of free time turned into the luck of finding a life-best dessert shop. Café Diaz isn't just a good café — it's practically the textbook definition of a peach cake.
- Anyone who wants to try the ultimate peach cake
- Fans of fruit desserts
