It's getting all autumn-y lately and all I can think about is skipping off to play, hehehe. The weather's great too, so time for a trip to Mulwang Reservoir after a while~ When you head out near Seoul, a big café is a must-stop, so let's go check out that Mulwang bakery spot with the rooftop.

Where is Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery, and what are its hours?

Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery (플라워팟카페&베이커리) is a large bakery café near Mulwang Reservoir at 28-18 Dongseo-ro 857beon-gil, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It's open daily from 10:00 to 21:20, and parking is available.

First to third floor: where to sit at Flowerpot

Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery has three floors. The first floor has a lush green interior with great natural light, so it's nice for soaking up some sun. You order upstairs on the second floor.

Various cookies, pound cakes, canelés, scones. It's been ages since I saw nunetine (a layered wafer snack).

There's also shokupan (Japanese-style white bread), rotti buns, salt bread, red bean bread, croissants, and more.

Slice cakes too, fully stocked. True to its reputation as a Mulwang bakery spot, the range of baked goods is massive.

Self-packing station, restrooms and baby chairs

And one thing I really liked! Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery has a self-packing station, so you can wrap up leftover bread to take home 🙂 The women's restroom is on the 2nd floor, the men's on the 3rd. The restrooms were fairly clean too.

Plenty of tables on the 2nd floor too, and the AC was strongest here. Step outside the door and there's an outdoor terrace seating area.

And now, my beloved rooftop. There's a shade canopy that blocks out some of the sun. Mountain and tree views, love it 😘 It's hard to find green like this in Seoul. The overall view looks something like this.

There are baby chairs ready on every floor, so it seems like a good spot to bring kids along too.

How do the fig croissant and egg tart taste?

I got to the café at 2pm, so the sun was blazing — decided to grab a spot on the 3rd floor first 😀 The bakery items I picked were the fig-topped croissant (₩8,500) and the egg tart (₩3,500).

The iced americano is a crowd-pleaser, no complaints there. The café latte felt like it had a slightly higher milk ratio? So the combo worked even better with the bread.

The bread wasn't super crispy, but it was packed with cream inside. Green grapes, blueberries, figs — all of it sweet and delicious. Definitely a legit Mulwang bakery spot.

The egg tart had no eggy smell and tasted great too. It might have tasted even better because I grabbed the very last one, hoo hoo.

It was hot, but there's no giving up the rooftop. Stuck my half-eaten stuff back together and carried it out lol lol lol.

Figs really are the taste of autumn. Overwhelmingly sweet. I'm going to have to go hunt down more fig desserts.

The sun was hot but the breeze was gentle, and looking up gave a lush green view. This is what healing feels like. Just stepping outside Seoul a bit is enough to lift my mood.
