There's a brunch café in Gwangalli that I genuinely love the most, and on a lazy weekend afternoon it crossed my mind again, so off I went! It's Working Holiday Minrak, already famous by word of mouth as a Gwangalli brunch café.

Whenever the weather's nice and I want to eat something delicious while looking at the sea, this is my number-one pick without question. I've lost count of how many times I've come back — I can confidently say it's my favorite café in Gwangalli.

Imported furniture interior: a photo spot from any angle

The owner's sense for interiors here is really something else — instead of the usual cheap-looking furniture, the place is filled with imported pieces full of character. Every table, chair, and light fixture is stylish, and the sense of luxury the space gives off is no joke.

Honestly, wherever you take a photo, it just comes out looking like Instagram-worthy content.

The Gwangalli ocean view that opens up at the door

At Working Holiday Minrak, the moment you open the door, a stunning wide-open view of Gwangalli Beach unfolds, and it never gets old no matter how many times I visit. On top of that, the imported furniture placed all around and the stylish interior make the atmosphere really upscale and pretty.

Just sitting by the window looking at the sea with a cup of coffee feels healing. This is the best Gwangalli brunch café for spending a relaxed weekend afternoon over brunch and coffee — Working Holiday Minrak.

The Working Holiday Minrak menu is made up of a range of brunch meals and desserts, plus drinks, coffee, ade, wine, and more. The menu is so varied that there's fun in picking something new every time.

I've tried several dishes on the menu here, and honestly, whatever you order, it's all good. Trying every single item is basically my personal goal.

Jambon pizza: chewy dough with burrata and pistachio

This time, after some deliberation, I ordered shrimp oil pasta and jambon (ham) pizza. The jambon pizza! The dough is really chewy and delicious, and the cheese tastes like real cheese — savory and so good.

On top, there's a generous amount of salty yet soft jambon and burrata cheese. The balance between the saltiness of the jambon and the savoriness of the cheese is genuinely an art form. Pistachio cream and crushed pistachios on top make it even more savory and delicious.

I was curious what the combination would taste like, but it worked together so well and was so delicious. Highly, highly recommend!!! Taking a bite of the oil pasta and then a bite of this pizza — the combination was so good I kept marveling as I ate.

The house-made pickles are also really crisp and delicious. Great for refreshing your palate.

Shrimp oil pasta: shrimp still left after the noodles are gone

The shrimp oil pasta at Working Holiday Minrak passed the visual test right away. Plump, springy shrimp were piled on generously — enough that even after finishing all the noodles, shrimp were still left on the plate.

Oil pasta can easily end up tasting greasy and one-note at a lot of places, but here the garlic aroma and rich olive oil flavor soak moistly into the noodles, so the umami bursts the moment it hits your mouth. The noodles were cooked just right, and I scraped the plate clean to the last bite without it ever feeling greasy. So good ❤️

Service and how far apart the tables are

They even had the sense to give two ice glasses when I ordered a cola, and the staff were lively and friendly. The ice cream I got from a review event was also wonderfully soft and sweet — the perfect dessert ❤️

Every time I come, the view is so good and the food so delicious that I end up marveling all over again. My favorite Gwangalli restaurant, my favorite Gwangalli brunch café. The place I keep going back to, again and again and again and again.

Working Holiday Minrak is a Gwangalli brunch café that lacks nothing — view, interior, or taste. The spacing between tables is also wide, so even when it's crowded, it never feels cramped. Definitely worth a visit. Highly, highly recommend.
