Jo Hui-tak Coffee is a café on Ajuro 47beon-gil near Ajou University in Suwon. I was going back and forth on where to get coffee near Ajou Univ, and this is the place I found! Honestly I just went in for one cup of coffee, but by the time I left... I was thinking about nothing but dessert lol.

Now I get why it's famous with people looking for the best café near Ajou Univ... the desserts are so good... the coffee's good too T_T But??? The vibe of the place is also great... you can trust me on this. My repeat-visit intention is already 10000000000% real, I'm so satisfied,,

I honestly want to eat every single cake... And the location near Ajou University makes it easy to get to, perfect for studying or meeting friends!!!

And most importantly, they had fruit sando???!!! I've been craving one lately... I originally came in planning to get cake today, but the fruit sando visuals made me change my plan on the spot,.,,

I was also surprised by how many kinds of bread they had.. is this a café or a bakery...

Jo Hui-tak Coffee is a café with plenty of room and an outlet at every seat, making it great for studying with a laptop. The moment I walked in, I thought, oh wow, this is way bigger than I expected... it's genuinely spacious lol. A lot of pretty cafés these days have only a handful of seats and end up packed, making you feel like you're overstaying, but here the space itself is big and the seating is arranged in a variety of layouts, so it felt much more relaxed!!!

People studying alone, folks on laptops, students doing assignments, customers chatting — everyone was doing their own thing comfortably, which made me feel like I should pull out my laptop and do something too lol. What I especially liked was that every seat has a proper outlet!!! Study-café regulars, give it up~~~ laptop charging, tablet charging, phone charging, all possible lol. There's a clear reason students looking for the best café near Ajou Univ love this place!!!

The overall vibe is clean and pleasant, so it's great for studying, good for meetings or work, and comfortable enough to stay a long time without feeling bad about it!!!

Jo Hui-tak Coffee beans and menu prices

Jo Hui-tak Coffee uses beans from Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters. Good news for anyone who loves coffee!!! The bean description was even printed on the menu — the dark roast blend is made from 40% Indonesia, 40% Brazil, and 20% Ethiopia!!! Maybe that's why the coffee aroma was so rich and the body felt pretty heavy.

The menu was way more varied than I expected — Americano ₩5,500, Flat White ₩6,000, Café Latte ₩6,500, Vanilla Latte ₩6,800, Dolce Latte ₩6,800, Café Mocha ₩6,800, and the signature Tak Latte for ₩7,000!!! On top of that there was strawberry latte, fresh orange juice, watermelon juice, grapefruit ade, green grape ade, honey grapefruit black tea, yuzu vanilla tea, and more — the variety was huge!!!

What I ordered was the Tak Latte, changed to decaf, plus the fruit sando!!!

Is the signature tak latte still rich when ordered decaf?

The Tak Latte is Jo Hui-tak Coffee's ₩7,000 signature drink, with nutty peanut cream layered on top of dark espresso. First up, the Tak Latte!!! It passed the visual test the moment it arrived!!! The cream is genuinely soft and the nutty aroma hits right away — the peanut scent isn't overpowering at all, it comes through as a gentle nuttiness that pairs really well with the strong coffee!!!

Even switched to decaf, it was delicious!!! Honestly all I can say is I was happy to have a genuinely good decaf coffee for once lol. Sometimes ordering decaf leaves you with something watery or disappointing, but here the actual coffee flavor was so present that I was really satisfied!!! Recommended for anyone who wants delicious coffee without the caffeine hit!!!

How does the fruit sando at Jo Hui-tak Coffee taste?

The real star of the day was Jo Hui-tak Coffee's fruit sando. Honestly, I'd come back just for this lol. First bite and I was like, huh??? What??? Why is this so good...

Because it's made with dairy whipped cream, there's zero heaviness — just pure freshness!! And the fruit isn't only visible on top, it's packed all the way through underneath too, which was so satisfying. Too much cream alone can get sickly, but this has both fruit and cream in full, so it's just straight-up delicious..

Free Americano refill and an added egg tart

At Jo Hui-tak Coffee, ordering one drink per person gets you one free Americano refill. Eating it alongside the sando, my latte disappeared instantly.. The best part is that with one drink ordered per person, you get one more Americano refilled for free!!!

I immediately refilled a cup and ordered one more egg tart on top of that.. lol so good.. If you're looking for the best café near Ajou Univ, or the best dessert spot near Ajou Univ, Jo Hui-tak Coffee is a place worth stopping by at least once!!! Next time I plan to work my way through the other cakes and fruit sandos one by one :)
