Self-serve barbecue and dessert coffee for parents' meal in Siheung
In short
Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue is a standalone duck restaurant on Beoman-ro in Siheung, Gyeonggi. Visiting for a family gathering with parents, the writer ordered half a raw duck and a whole marinated duck, finding the charcoal-grilled raw duck smoky and clean without any gamey smell, followed by a self-serve wrap bar, complimentary duck soup, self-cooked fried rice, and self-serve dessert coffee. Today I'm sharing a duck restaurant near Starfield Bucheon that's also perfect for a family gathering with parents — I went to have marinated duck at Grill Duck in Siheung. It was clean and delicious with absolutely no gamey duck smell! Let me introduce it right away.
Grill Duck's exterior and parking

Grill Duck is close to Starfield Bucheon and has plenty of parking, making it an ideal spot for a family gathering. Since it's a standalone building, the place felt bigger than I expected. There's a break time on weekdays, but none on weekends.

There's even a notice about the health benefits of duck posted in the restaurant — reading it before eating makes the meal taste even better, right? haha
Menu and prices — there's also half-and-half duck
- Raw duck / marinated duck / duck bulgogi, one serving 800g — ₩53,000
- Half serving 400g add-on — ₩27,000

This time we ordered half a raw duck and one whole marinated duck. There's also a half-and-half duck option on the menu, which is perfect if you're just coming as a couple. Duck is usually pricey, so there's always the disappointment of only being able to try one flavor — but at Grill Duck you can enjoy two flavors at a good value.

The self-serve bar has wrap greens and various sauces ready, and you can help yourself to any side dishes you need.
The complimentary duck soup that comes as a service! The perilla seeds and broth blended nicely together, and it was great to have warm before the meal.
Review: half a raw duck and one marinated duck

The half raw duck and whole marinated duck we ordered have arrived! It's a good amount for 3-4 people to eat. The portion was quite generous and filling. They also have delicious noodle side dishes, so next time I want to try it with makguksu (buckwheat noodles).

Charcoal-grilled raw duck, smoky with no gamey smell
The raw duck is grilled over charcoal in particular, which finishes it as a duck barbecue infused with charcoal aroma. It wasn't greasy at all — really smoky-flavored with tender, chewy meat.
The half raw duck had a mild yet smoky flavor that I loved. Grilling the duck meat until golden let the excess fat drip off just right while bringing out the smoky flavor. In particular, the gamey duck smell I was worried about was completely absent, and it even tasted like really smoky samgyeopsal (pork belly). I highly recommend dipping it in salt.

Marinated duck with well-soaked seasoning
The marinated duck had a definitely different charm from the raw duck. The spicy yet slightly sweet seasoning was well absorbed into the duck meat, making it great to eat with rice, and it promised an equally good finishing fried rice.

The marinated duck was moderately spicy. At a lot of other, lesser places, the duck and the sauce often taste separate, but at Grill Duck the seasoning was really well absorbed into the meat.
It's delicious wrapped, and eating it one bite at a time with various vegetables is pure bliss!! I used to worry a lot about where to eat near Starfield, but I think I'll be coming back to Grill Duck a lot from now on.

Onions and vegetables go well with duck meat, and alternating between the raw duck and marinated duck let us enjoy both mild and spicy flavors at the same time, which I really liked. The meat was on the tender side too, so we ate happily without any toughness, and I thought it was a menu lineup that's great for a hearty meal when visiting with several people.

Finishing with self-serve fried rice and dessert coffee
The finishing fried rice is self-cooked. You know you have to finish with carbs even when you're full, for it to feel truly satisfying, right?? We pressed the fried rice diligently into a heart shape and ate it happily.

There was also dessert coffee ready on the way out, set up self-serve so you can take it to go — having even dessert wrapped up was such a nice touch.
Final thoughts
Overall, it was a satisfying duck meal at Grill Duck, a great restaurant near Starfield Bucheon. If you want to eat properly done duck, definitely pay a visit. Being able to try both the raw duck and marinated duck menus made it even more satisfying, and it's a place that suits family dinners, meals with friends, and group gatherings alike — I plan to come back the next time I'm craving duck.
