On a weekday afternoon, I was looking for somewhere to have a relaxed meal near Gangnam Station with a friend, and we ended up at Brivit Gangnam Station. I'd been once before and remembered liking the atmosphere and the food, so I decided to go back.

Inside Brivit: wood-tone dining room and terrace seats

The moment I walked in, the warm wood-tone interior and the plants placed throughout the space caught my eye.

There's also a terrace space by the window, which gave off a relaxed feeling, like taking a little break in the middle of the city.

Besides regular tables, there's a bar table, a terrace, and couple seating, so it looked good for anything from a date to a group hangout.

In particular, Brivit Gangnam Station isn't too formal but isn't too casual either, so it felt like a good fit for occasions where the vibe matters, like a blind date or a proper date.

The self-serve bar had tissues and phone chargers, among other things.

What's on the menu besides pasta — gnocchi and steak

It's not just pasta — there's a whole range of dishes like green onion cream corn gnocchi, salmon steak pasta, Brivit's signature steak, porcini shrimp gnocchi, spicy fried eggplant, and jambon spicy risotto. Even if the people you're with have different tastes, it looked easy for everyone to find something they'd like. I want to try the signature salmon steak pasta next time!

Personally, this was my favorite: the Greek yogurt & tomato salad! Red tomatoes, green herbs, and white Greek yogurt all laid out colorfully — it looked refreshing just to look at.

It went well alongside the mains and felt like it was made with fresh ingredients, good for eating between bites of pasta or risotto. It's a nice, refreshing side to order alongside Gangnam Station pasta.

Spicy vongole oil pasta, 18,900 won

This is the spicy vongole oil pasta. Made with fresh clams, pepperoncino, and garlic, it had a clean yet spicy-tangy flavor that I really liked.

Even in the photo you can see how evenly the sauce coats the noodles. Thanks to the spiciness, it wasn't heavy at all and kept us reaching for more — my friend and I enjoyed it a lot. If you like Gangnam Station pasta, this oil-based dish is worth choosing too.

Jambon spicy risotto, 18,900 won

This is the jambon spicy risotto. It combines the deep flavor of jambon with the nuttiness of almonds. The creamy risotto with a touch of spice paired well with the pasta, letting us enjoy two different flavors side by side.

Even in the photo, the plating looked clean, and the overall table felt nice once the dishes were set down.

If you're looking for an atmospheric Western restaurant near Gangnam Station, or a spot for a date, blind date, or wedding invitation gathering, this is worth considering. It's a place that suits a day when you want to enjoy pasta and risotto together while chatting at ease.

It works well for a casual visit with a friend like mine, but also for occasions where you care a bit more about the atmosphere, like a date, blind date, or wedding invitation meetup. I had a relaxed meal at Brivit Gangnam Station, enjoying both the food and the vibe. Next time, I'd like to come back and try other menu items I haven't had yet, like the steak :)
