Yongin pork bone soup restaurant near Maseong IC: 17,000 won set
In short
Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Maseong IC Branch is a sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) and pork bone soup restaurant on Seongsan-ro in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi. On a weekend visit at 4:30pm the 17,000 won pork bone soup set came with sundae and boiled pork, plus a clay pot so large it dwarfed a bowl of rice, filled with meaty bones in a deep broth with no gamey smell. For a hot, filling meal after a day out at the big cafés nearby, Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk is good value.

There are so many nice-vibe date cafés in Yongin's Cheoin-gu! I actually went to "Arrope Slice Piece" that day and got hungry, so I dropped by the sundaeguk place right next door. It's Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Maseong IC Branch, and the broth was so rich with zero gamey smell that I had to write a review right away haha😆

- Great-value sundae set combo
- Right next to Calliope / Inwarp / Cafe Swim
- Dedicated parking lot in front of the restaurant

What is the restaurant like on a weekend at 4:30pm?
I visited at 4:30pm on a weekend and the place was nice and relaxed to use — meanwhile delivery orders kept coming in nonstop while I was eating👍🏻 It's not just a hearty meal, it's also perfect as a hangover cure, so it's super popular! (But also great as a drinking snack too...😉)

Is the 17,000 won pork bone soup set worth the extra 4,000 won?
You can order via the table-top kiosk! After slowly scanning the menu, I ordered the pork bone soup set🐶 ➡️ pork bone soup + sundae & boiled pork, 17,000 won. The sundae and boiled pork came so generously that the extra 4,000 won didn't feel wasted at all👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Let me show you the pork bone soup in detail below ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Basic side dishes and the self-serve banchan bar
First up, the basic side dishes-✨️ (fresh kimchi / diced radish kimchi / onion & chili peppers / ssamjang / salted shrimp). True to a gukbap restaurant in Yongin's Cheoin-gu, the fresh kimchi and diced radish kimchi were seriously delicious. Guess a good kimchi spot really does make good gukbap too, haha. You can refill any side dish you want as much as you like from the self-serve bar, so definitely refill on the fresh kimchi and diced radish kimchi🤤

The biggest clay pot of soup I have ever been served
And true to K-fast-food fashion, the food came out impressively quickly too😆 The soup arrived still boiling hot in the bowl, so I got to enjoy it piping hot the whole time! And seriously, isn't the pork bone soup bowl huge? Compared to the rice bowl, the size is insane. This was honestly the biggest bowl I've ever been served in my entire life lolㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Even compared with the side dish plates behind it, that bowl is way too big-👍🏻 Inside were big, meaty bones, making for a filling meal. Plus the meat was really packed on, haha. The broth is rich with no gamey smell, and adding perilla seed powder gives it a nutty flavor that blends in perfectly. Dipping the meat in the sauce that came with it was also absolutely delicious, so I kept eating and eating😆

Sundae and boiled pork, steamed in a bamboo tube
This is the sundae and boiled pork steamed in a bamboo tube, and the portion was pretty generous👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The sundae was chewy with a hearty filling, and dipping it in salted shrimp was absolutely delicious! The boiled pork was tender and moist too, easy to eat without feeling heavy.
