I could spot the sign from far away as we got close, so it was easy to find.

The parking lot was also wide, so bringing a car wasn't a problem at all. We parked and walked up to the restaurant.

At the entrance, we could see the menu board.

I liked that it's a pet-friendly restaurant.

Grill Duck's 10% discount for military, police and firefighters
Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue has actually been on TV, and military, police, and firefighters can get a 10% discount, which is great.
Grill Duck's size and seating: room for family gatherings and groups
We walked in excited, and wow, the restaurant is huge. There were spacious seating areas, so it seemed like it could easily handle family gatherings or group visits.

Grill Duck's menu: grilled duck, hangari (clay pot) barbecue, meals and sides
We sat at a table we liked and looked over the menu. The grilled section has raw duck, marinated duck, and duck bulgogi, and ordering the half-and-half lets you try two flavors at once, which is nice. There were also duck hotpot options like oridori and duck soup. The hangari barbecue section had pork belly barbecue, chewy pork shoulder barbecue, and even duck barbecue. For raw pork, they had female pork belly and pork shoulder. The meal menu had duck soup hot pot, duck rice bowl, perilla oil buckwheat noodles, cold buckwheat noodles, and mixed buckwheat noodles — they had everything. Sides included steamed rice, chive fried rice, ramyeon, rice cake, udon noodles, extra potato, extra minari, extra chives, and extra aged kimchi. They also had good drinks to pair with the food — soju, beer, cheongha, makgeolli, bokbunja, and hwayo.

For reference, they also have a value set menu and a hangari barbecue one-geun (about 600g) set menu, so keep that in mind. We decided to start with the half-and-half duck.

After ordering, we noticed a sign about the health benefits of duck.

There's also a self-serve bar, so we could grab extra side dishes if we ran out.
Half-and-half duck at Grill Duck: raw duck, marinated duck and free duck soup
Grill Duck's half-and-half duck comes with both raw duck and marinated duck together. While we chatted, the basic side dishes arrived, then both types of duck came out.

They put the meat on both sides of the grill for us to cook nicely. In between, the complimentary duck soup arrived too.

I also took a video showing everything up close, so check that out.
We started with the well-cooked marinated duck first. The seasoning had soaked in so well, it was seriously delicious. Definitely a great duck restaurant near Bucheon.

We also made radish wraps, and there was rice cake on the grill too, which was fun to pick at.

Eating it with vegetables was also amazing.

There was also lettuce and shredded onion to eat with. And having duck soup along the way was great too.

How did the raw duck taste? Good enough to eat plain
Next we tried the raw duck once it was nicely grilled.

This was so good even eaten plain.

We put it on top with the accompanying sauce, and it also went great with herbs. Wrapping it up in lettuce too, we kept eating in different ways and finished it off quickly.

Ending the meal with two servings of fried rice
After finishing everything, we also ordered 2 servings of fried rice.

A staff member fried it up deliciously for us. If you're curious how it's made, check out the video.
We tasted the well-fried rice, and it was seriously delicious. Fried rice really is essential after eating meat. The three of us ate happily, said we'd come back again, and headed out. If you're looking for a duck restaurant near Bucheon, I'd recommend giving this place a try.
