A study-friendly café near Seoul National University Station: Pulse Line Coffee

September is also the month when university classes start again, right? Ugh..ㅠㅠ I visited Pulse Line Coffee, which was easy to get to near Seoul National University Station and had such a modern, comfortable interior!

Even the “pulse line coffee” slogan on the exterior sign caught my eye! The café says its name reflects every stage—from the breath of roasting and the temperature when water meets coffee to the moment the aroma blooms—connecting like a single line, with a quiet yet powerful pulse flowing along it!

Once I knew the meaning behind the name, I could understand the logo too..! I think the owner came up with such a clever name and logo.

As I headed inside, the black-and-red interior felt clean yet upscale! Maybe because it is a new café, it was incredibly comfortable and had such a polished atmosphere!

Pulse Line Coffee’s signature menu is broadly divided into coffee and desserts! The signature coffees, Line Spanner and Pulse-nal Latte, are ₩6,500 each, while the signature desserts, Crumble Pie and Brûlée Pie, are also ₩6,500 each. There was also a wide range of non-coffee options, including yogurt drinks, ades, milk tea, and tea, which was nice.

They had a variety of desserts ready too!

I wanted to try the signature Brûlée Pie and Crumble Pie, but both kinds of pie were sold out when I went..

The signature pies were unavailable, but there were yellow cheese muffins, mulberry muffins, caramel muffins, two-berry pound cake, and black sesame pound cake! I assumed muffins like these were bought in from outside, but the owner makes them all personally..

Pulse Line Coffee has a membership program, so if you visit often, it could be good to top up and use it! The amount is a little steep, but you get a whopping ₩100,000 bonus when you top up ₩500,000,,,

A comfortable space for laptop work and studying

There were more tables than I expected, so you can settle in comfortably without feeling self-conscious! The high ceiling also made it feel open, with none of that cramped feeling at all.

Lots of people were studying or working on laptops alone, while plenty of others were chatting with friends! I study at cafés often, and Pulse Line Coffee’s soft lighting felt just right for concentrating!

Even though Pulse Line Coffee is an independent café, you could see thoughtful touches for people studying or working on laptops everywhere. The wall-side tables have plenty of outlets, so you can work or study without worrying about charging your laptop or phone! Usually independent cafés block all their outlets,, so as someone who studies at cafés, I can only be very, very grateful,, haha. Once exam season really starts, I am planning to come here all the time~

Pulse-nal Latte and Guatemala filter coffee

We ordered the signature Pulse-nal Latte and a Guatemala filter coffee!

The Pulse-nal Latte looked so pretty! It was sweet with a mint flavor, so if you like mint, you absolutely have to order it! But the mint aroma was not overly strong, so even people who do not like mint probably would not find it too challenging to drink!

The Guatemala beans for the filter coffee are said to have notes of dark chocolate, walnut, smokiness, and coconut. One sip and I found it nutty and clean, with no acidity at all—exactly my taste! With filter coffee, it matters how well the person brewing it does it, right? One thing is clear: the owner seems truly serious about coffee..

Oh, and I felt like the coffee would go so well with the pies.. Next time, I am definitely having it with pie ㅠㅠ The sold-out issue..ㅠㅠ

It was a place that stood out for its clean, polished interior, varied menu, and thoughtful consideration for café studiers. I was very satisfied because I could concentrate comfortably with delicious coffee. Next time, I am definitely having coffee and pie together.. Then I am confident I will be able to concentrate twice as well,, haha.

I really want to recommend Pulse Line Coffee to anyone looking for a café near Seoul National University Station where they can study! Of course, it is also such a nice place to have a conversation!
