Goyang bakery café with a 40-car parking lot: melon smoothie, Baedagol
In short
Baedagol Bakery House is a large bakery café with a garden on Hoguk-ro 1121beon-gil in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. On a weekday afternoon drive with her husband, the writer ordered a fresh melon yogurt smoothie, coffee, garlic baguette and blueberry tart, then sat by the first-floor garden window. The garlic baguette at Baedagol Bakery House was the best bread she has ever eaten, and melon season is the time to go.

So many big bakery cafés popping up these days and I'm loving it, haha, a total win for bread lovers like me! Goyang keeps getting new spots too. With the weather so nice, I was looking for somewhere to go for a date/drive, and Baedagol Bakery House caught my eye for its seasonal menu and gorgeous garden.
How big is Baedagol Bakery House, and what is the garden like?
Baedagol Bakery House is a garden-style large bakery café at 123 Hoguk-ro 1121beon-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. From the entrance there are so many trees and flowers. The place smells like fresh greenery~! 🌿

There's a tall pine tree standing so nicely right in the middle, haha. There are outdoor seats inside the garden too, and even a rooftop on the 3rd floor. It was bigger and more spacious than I expected 👍

Hours and parking: a weekday visit to Baedagol Bakery House
Baedagol Bakery House is open from 10am to 9pm. Parking was plentiful too — about 10 spots right in front of the café, and 40 to 50+ spots in the dedicated lot across the street! A spot opened up right in front for us, so we parked right away.
Even on a weekday it was pretty crowded, so I imagine weekends must be packed..! That's why I always prefer weekday outings 😆

The garden and outdoor seats are beautifully arranged. I thought about sitting outside, but the midday sun was still too strong, so we came inside, haha. The shaded seats were already full. Lots of people strolling around with their coffee too.
Group tables, the second-floor room and first-floor window seats

There are plenty of 3-6 person group tables, and the 2nd floor even has a private room! Perfect for gathering with a group and enjoying the space. The seats in this last photo especially get great sunlight and have such a cozy vibe~! The 2nd floor was relatively quieter. We settled into a window seat on the 1st floor with a nice garden view, haha.

Melon season menu at Baedagol Bakery House: what we ordered
This Goyang café makes a variety of drinks and desserts using seasonal fruit. When I went, it was melon season! The look was too good to pass up — I debated between the snow ice and the fresh melon yogurt smoothie, and ended up ordering the smoothie and a coffee. 'Warreu-warreu' (piled-high) — so cute, haha. They also have ades, a latte series, and plenty of other menu items.

They have bread and cakes too. My husband picks garlic baguette wherever we go, haha. I picked the blueberry tart! Honestly I wanted to try other breads too but I was too full 🐽 Next to the counter, fresh melons are displayed in a fridge. They looked so fresh, I wanted to slice one and eat it right there! Sadly there were no melon-topped breads left when I went 😂 must've all sold out. Still, everything else looked delicious, so I picked carefully, haha.
Self-serve bar, baby chairs and other conveniences

Forks, knives, spoons and plates are self-serve — take as many as you need — and there's a spot where you can warm up your bread or get it packed to go. Baby chairs are on hand too, so this seems like a great place to bring little ones, haha.

While I was looking around, my buzzer went off. The melon balls piled up look so appetizing. Can you see the baguette bulging at the seams too? Had to snap a photo first 📸 — the view out the window was so pretty, just looking at it was healing itself~!
How it tasted: the garlic baguette was the standout

The fruit itself was so delicious to begin with. My first melon of the year 🍈😋 My husband doesn't usually go for yogurt smoothies, but he devoured this one! The garlic baguette was amazing too, packed full inside — the best bread I've ever had! Seriously! 👍 The blueberry tart paired perfectly with the coffee too!
On nice weather days like this, coming to a pretty café like this for a drive or an outing is just the best mood-booster! Made with seasonal fruit, this Goyang café tastes even better — don't miss melon season, go check it out!
