1,000-won garlic dipping sauce at Seongsu pizzeria Pizza Slice Seoul

While hunting for good food near Seongsu Station, I stopped by Pizza Slice, a spot where you can enjoy pizza in a genuinely hip atmosphere! The taste was great and the prices were easy on the wallet too, making it a perfect Seongsu-dong date course — here's my review of this Seongsu pizza spot.

Where is Pizza Slice Seoul, and is there parking?

Pizza Slice Seoul is located on the basement level, about a 4-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 2. The address is 159 Achasan-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Parking isn't available here. You'll need to use a nearby parking lot.

Inside the Seongsu basement pizzeria: seating and the sink area

Pizza Slice Seoul has that cozy basement feel combined with a stylish, trendy interior, so the moment I walked in I got that hip Seongsu energy.

Best of all, there's a sink area right inside the store where you can wash your hands immediately, which was so convenient. I'm usually the type to eat pizza with my hands, and a lot of places make you trek all the way to the bathroom for that,

but here you can wash up neatly right next to your table before eating, which was super satisfying. Right beside it is a trash bin, so once you're done, you toss your trash and return your tray, easy.

Pizza Slice Seoul's menu is set up with by-the-slice options and a good variety of sides so you can build whatever you're in the mood for.

Here's what the two of us ordered:

and we ordered all of that and demolished it, no regrets.

The pizza prices themselves are so reasonable that this is one of the best spots near Seongsu Station for a filling, satisfying lunch or dinner without breaking the bank. Basic condiments like hot sauce, chili peppers and salt to season to your taste were also neatly set out at every table.

How do the meatball and Hawaiian slices taste?

The meatball pizza had that savory meat and salty cheese combo that felt like classic American-style pizza, and I loved it.

My friend who ordered the Hawaiian pizza said the balance between the sweet pineapple and salty toppings was really good too.

The fries weren't thick wedge-style, but thin, smooth ones like McDonald's fries. Since I usually like things saltier, the base seasoning was on the mild side for me, so I sprinkled on extra salt from the table and got the perfectly salty, crispy fries I was after.

The garlic knots were something I tried here for the first time — chewy bread with a garlic-baguette vibe and a slight sweetness to it. Worth trying at least once!

The fries were thin and smooth, McDonald's-style, which was on the mild side for my salty palate, so sprinkling on the salt from the table hit the spot perfectly.

Why the 1,000-won garlic dipping sauce is a must-add

And the garlic dipping sauce sold for ₩1,000 — you have to add it, seriously!!! Unlike some overly harsh, not-great garlic sauces you find elsewhere, this one had a smooth, well-made garlic flavor, and it balanced everything so well that I ended up wiping the pizza crust clean with it down to the very last bite.

If you're on the hunt for a hip, delicious pizza place in Seongsu-dong, definitely give this a try! The stylish space also makes it a no-regrets choice for a couple's Seongsu date course. I'd highly recommend this Seongsu spot for a filling, satisfying meal that leaves you fully wrecked in the best way!
