Yangju café with kiwi yogurt cake and a ₩2,000 photo booth: Moonbird
In short
Moonbird is a large bakery café with a garden in Goeup-dong, Yangju, Gyeonggi. Visiting on a Saturday around 2pm, the writer settled in to work at an adults-only Zone B round table with an iced americano, a Hello Kitty madeleine and kiwi yogurt cake, then printed a photo for 2,000 won at the in-café photo booth. The cream on Moonbird's kiwi yogurt cake was the highlight, and the wide spacing between seats kept this large café quiet enough to work in.

Hey everyone~~ You all know Gyeonggi's big cafés are famous, right? Today I'm introducing a reeeally beautiful café over in Yangju. It's Moonbird, a Yangju café!!

How to get to Moonbird in Yangju, and where to park
Moonbird is a large bakery café in Goeup-dong, Yangju, Gyeonggi, and you can park in the lot on the left side of the building. Even the drive there feels full of mood, like you're on a little trip, haha. Just follow the navigation and trust it — signs show up along the way.
Once you spot this building, the parking lot is right on the left! It's spacious so it's not hard to find, haha. Grab a spot with plenty of room and head to the café.
You can look down over Yangju's Ogjeong district from here.. those apartments over there are all 30+ stories... what a nice view ^^ haha.

There's even signage for everyone — let's follow the rules and have fun >_< I visited around 2pm on a Saturday.
Wow~~ it's been a while since I stepped on gravel and open field like this, haha. Total European-garden vibes lol. Wearing slides, how do I look? Just a local resident here.

Moonbird's opening hours and outdoor garden
Moonbird is open daily 10:30–21:00, with last order at 20:30.
- 🕒 10:30 - 21:00 (Last Order 20:30)

You can freely use the outdoor space too — just check the usage guidelines and enjoy! The weather's cooling down lately so the terrace seats looked really tempting, haha.
Such a picture-perfect outdoor scene.... but I was thirsty so I rushed inside, lol.
Zone A kids care zone vs adults-only Zone B
Moonbird has a kids-care zone system! It's split into Zones A and B so both kids and adults can enjoy the space without feeling awkward around each other. Everyone was really considerate about it too.
This feels like a bit of a trademark here!! The huge group table makes its grand appearance, lol.

I heard it was featured on a food-guide show — the handmade desserts looked amazing. Definitely tastier than something trucked in from a factory. There's a morning set too, so it'd be great for a relaxed brunch!!

Café restrooms really matter, right? This one is genuinely clean and beautifully kept.
This is Zone A, and past that glass is Zone B! That's the adults-only side.
The windows are so wide that the whole garden comes into view! It really frames the scene like a painting.. total trip vibes.
Baked goods, cakes and prepaid vouchers at Moonbird
Moonbird also had tons of baked goods!! I fell head over heels for the Hello Kitty madeleine here.
And these gorgeous, stunning cakes.. you can even reserve them via Naver!!!!!!
There was even a YouTuber's signature on display, and they thoughtfully sell birthday candles too, lol.
The packaging and insulated bags are done really well, so this seems perfect for gifting!!
They also had prepaid vouchers, lol. Worth considering if you live nearby or want to buy in bulk at once!

Being a bakery café, there really was so much bread... my eyes went wild wanting to eat it all, but I'd just had lunch so I held back a bit, ugh. But how do you resist that fruit visual;;
Working on a laptop at a Zone B round table
I headed over to Moonbird's Zone B to get some work done. But this café looked like an art gallery;; my boyfriend said it's now in his top 3 cafés ever.

We sat at this round table. The spacing between tables is pretty sexy, right? Haha.
What a nice view ^^ Highly recommend this Yangju café.

There's a photo zone, so click ^^. Some spots even had signs about water, wet wipes, and wifi!
And they even have blankets and headbands, lol, totally birthday-party ready lol. This kind of thoughtful detail is super touching..

What to know before you order at Moonbird
On the way to order.. reading the notices makes everything click. Just so you know, the entire property is a no-smoking zone!!!!

Even on the way to order, more cake awaits. They have kids' drinks too, so cute lol.

Order cutoff is 8:30pm, closing is 9pm! It gets dark early around here so it's best to hurry through your visit.

Here's the drink menu! They even have bingsu (shaved ice dessert) so my boyfriend wondered if we should get that.. but we went with cake instead, haha. This looks like a real gem of a place — I'd never seen a mangosteen bingsu before, whoa;;

The photo booth: 2,000 won a print
There's this clever little photo-printing machine inside Moonbird, lol. Some random wind of inspiration hit me while my boyfriend went to the restroom, so I printed one, lol. It was surprisingly fun.

The bomber jacket styling is the highlight. This is the same jacket from when I went to Musée Mimesis in Paju before, haha. Such a fun memory for just ₩2,000!

Waited for the buzzer to ring while looking at the flowers and nature.. hehe.

Kiwi yogurt cake and Hello Kitty madeleine
We ordered an iced americano, the kitty madeleine, and the kiwi yogurt cake! But seriously, that kiwi yogurt cake — I really really recommend it, the cream is legit insanely good and pairs so well with the kiwi. Ah, I want to eat that again — I ate it all and lied to my boyfriend saying he ate it, lol.

Total study-café vibes ^^ though of course I wasn't actually coding, pfft.
When I hit a wall working, I'd watch the kids running around the garden.. lots of families come, and plenty of solo visitors too — this place just covers everyone.
Even the restroom here has feminine products laid out.. that's genuinely a nice touch.
Is Moonbird in Yangju worth a second visit?
The group seating was spacious and this café was really beautiful! Other large cafés are often too loud or too cramped, which bugs me, but Moonbird in Yangju had none of that. Next time I want to bring my parents!~
