Itaewon bar open until 4am for a peach highball: Yahwa Honsul Bar
In short
Yahwa Honsul Bar Seoul Itaewon Branch is a solo-drinking bar on the 3rd floor of an alley near Itaewon Station in Yongsan, Seoul. Stopping by after Haebangchon with a friend, the writer ordered just one peach highball (₩11,000), got a free chicken-leg-shaped snack and hangover remedy, and ended up chatting with the group at the next table. A great pick for anyone who's never dared to go to a bar alone.

Today I'm writing about Yahwa Honsul Bar, which I visited while out and about in Itaewon!
For anyone who spent yet another boring weekend cooped up at home, or who needs a proper little escape by themselves after work — today I'm introducing a really special spot. My friend and I were in Haebangchon wondering where to go next, and we ended up at Yahwa Honsul Bar Seoul Itaewon Branch!

If you need a reason to stop hesitating and get out the door right now, here it is: Yahwa Honsul Bar Seoul Itaewon Branch, a moody solo-drinking bar in Itaewon.
I usually go to restaurants and cafés alone with no problem, but going to a bar solo felt like a whole different level, so I'd always hesitated!! But here, going alone didn't feel awkward at all — honestly it felt like I'd found a new hideout, and I left completely satisfied. Here's my real review. 🥰

Yahwa Honsul Bar Seoul Itaewon Branch: location and hours
📍 Store info & how to get there
- Address: 6 Itaewon-ro 23-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, 3rd floor (a very short walk from Itaewon Station!)
- Hours: Sunday–Thursday 20:00–04:00 / Friday–Saturday 19:00–05:00
- Notes: adults-only (20+) no-kids zone, with a convenient QR code ordering system right at your table 📱
Anyone of legal age can enter, and they check ID at the door. If you're heading over, make sure to bring yours!
As soon as you sit down, they give you a complimentary chicken-leg-shaped snack and a hangover remedy. I guess it's their way of saying 'drink all you want, just don't get too wasted'!!! haha

First impressions the moment the 3rd-floor door opened
✨ Unfamiliar but perfect: the first impression and mood
I walked up to the 3rd floor of an alley just off Itaewon's main street and opened the door, and honestly, the vibe passed the test right away!!! It wasn't some dim, cramped, old-school bar — the lighting was easy on the eyes yet dreamy and stylish. A hip, minimal mood mixed together in just the right way.
Usually when I go drinking alone, I get shy and head straight for a corner seat, right? But at Yahwa Itaewon, the bar counter itself was decorated so nicely that I felt taken care of no matter where I sat. The friendly bartenders welcomed solo customers so warmly that it never felt awkward!!

There were also all sorts of games, so even with strangers, you can break the ice through a game and end up chatting about all kinds of things!!

It was fine to order just one peach highball for ₩11,000
I went with a friend, and since I was thirsty, I ordered a peach highball (₩11,000). We'd already eaten and were full, so we skipped ordering food and just sipped the highball while soaking in the atmosphere!

Ice-breaking that gets the next table talking to you
🤝 The mysterious magic of becoming friends with total strangers
Yahwa's real charm was in 'connection.' Each table had simple ice-breaking games or a guestbook set up to help people naturally get to know each other. It's not forced conversation from being overly drunk — while respecting everyone's own time, it naturally opens up little conversation starters like 'Where do you live?' or 'What's your MBTI?'
If you want quiet time to yourself listening to music and gathering your thoughts, you can just have that. And if you feel like talking to new people, the bartenders naturally set up seating together or start a conversation!!
At first my friend and I were drinking quietly, but the women sitting next to us struck up a conversation and we ended up becoming friends!! haha You can come alone and leave having made a bunch of friends — it's a pretty amazing experience!!

Restroom, darts, and seating capacity
There's a restroom inside too, so you can use it comfortably~~!

There's a drink-making station and darts, and the seating area is spacious enough to fit a big group! Couples come, groups of friends come, and solo visitors come too!

If your days feel the same and boring, don't hesitate — climb the hill up in Itaewon!!! In a hideout-like space you'll want to keep all to yourself, you might just get gifted a special night with the best cocktail of your life.
