Sinyongsan café with floor-by-floor seating and blue lemon sherbet

At first I thought there'd be something related to the HYBE idol my sister likes, but once I got inside it turned out to be closer to a regular large café than I expected, which was kind of funny haha. Still, just as a café it's pretty big with plenty of space to look around, so it was fine for spending some time.

Finding HYBE Playground near Sinyongsan Station

Just look for the orange and you'll spot the café right away haha. The dessert photos plastered on the exterior look so good ㅠㅜ it's making me want to eat them again just thinking about it now haha.

Different seating on every floor — where should you sit?

What was especially fun was that the space is spread across several floors in one building. Even though it's the same café, the seating mood shifts slightly floor by floor, so you can find whichever spot suits you. If you want a quiet chat, the 2nd floor seats are good, and if you're visiting with a group, the big tables and sofa seats on the 3rd floor seemed like the way to go.

The counter and cake display

The counter is right on the right side as you walk in! Being a large café, there was a wide range of desserts — the number of cake varieties was bigger than I expected.

Laptop work or long stays

Being a large café, there were a lot of seats! When we visited, I saw people with laptops open, studying or working. So it felt less like a place you just take photos and drink your coffee and leave, and more like a café that's good for lingering and spending time.

3rd floor sofa seats and terrace

The 3rd floor has comfortable sofa seats and group tables, so it's suited for friends or group visits! There's also a terrace, so on a nice-weather day the mood there would be great!

The photo-review ice cream perk

They said you get a HYBE signature ice cream for writing a photo review, so keep that in mind. We were too full to try it this time, but next time I go I'm definitely leaving a review so I can get it.

So how does the blue lemon sherbet ade taste?

Isn't the drink's visual so pretty?? If you like sour flavors, you'll really love this lemonade!! Especially that sherbet was insanely sour haha. I generally like sour things, but it was sour enough to make me scrunch my face, so eventually I just mixed everything together and drank it that way haha.

At first I figured with such a pretty look it'd taste refreshing too, but I was a little caught off guard by how strong the sourness was haha. Still, if you love lemon, it's worth trying once — with a bit of a penalty-drink vibe thrown in.

If I go again

Personally, what I liked was the wide range of drinks and desserts to choose from. It's disappointing when you go to a café and there's nothing much to eat, but here there's everything from cakes to various desserts, so next time I want to try other menu items too. This time I was too full to eat the ice cream, which was a bit of a letdown haha. Next time I'll eat lightly beforehand and come properly enjoy the desserts.

If you're meeting a friend near Yongsan Station or have plans and want a spacious, comfortable café to talk in, this is worth a visit! Especially on a nice day, you can use the terrace too, so it'd suit anyone who wants to spend some relaxed time.
