In short

Low Five is a pizza and pasta restaurant on Sinpung-ro 23beon-gil in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. In one sitting we ordered the half-and-half pizza (corn + hot pepperoni) at 26,000 won, avocado kimchi fried rice at 14,000 won and the classic Caesar salad at 12,000 won, then finished each dish with parmesan powder and hot sauce from the self-serve bar. We were both really hungry, so we decided to just go for it — pizza, fried rice, and a whole salad on top of that..!

What's on the self-serve bar: hot sauce and parmesan powder

There's a table set up in the middle of the restaurant with a self-serve bar — cold water, tissues, wet wipes, hot sauce, and even parmesan cheese powder, all ready for you to help yourself.

A full table: half-and-half pizza, avocado kimchi fried rice and Caesar salad

The dishes came out pretty quickly. We ordered the half-and-half pizza with pepperoni on one side and corn on the other — I'd heard the corn side was good, but I was also curious about the hot pepperoni.

The avocado kimchi fried rice comes piled high with avocado on top, with a thick, fluffy egg omelet underneath, and the kimchi fried rice sitting at the base.

Classic Caesar salad at 12,000 won, with shallots as the kick

The classic Caesar salad has little bits of bacon scattered throughout, but the real kick comes from the thinly sliced shallots. A little squeeze of lemon juice makes it even more refreshing — so good!!

It looks even more delicious up close — the pepperoni pizza has jalapeños on top, and the spiciness completely cuts through any greasiness from the pizza.

Isn't the avocado kimchi fried rice just gorgeous? There's a light dusting of cheese on top of the avocado too, adding even more savory richness.

I really love the colors of this avocado kimchi fried rice from Low Five, a pizza spot in Haenggung-dong — I don't think I've ever seen kimchi fried rice look like this before... it's making me drool.

How does Low Five's corn pizza taste?

I picked up a slice of the nicely grilled, golden-brown corn pizza first, and right next to it was a plump, golden shrimp topping.

Lifting the slice, the cheese stretched incredibly far, and it tasted so rich and savory that it just melted right into my mouth.

Taking a bite of the corn pizza, the sweet corn pops with texture, paired with the plump, chewy shrimp and rich cheese — a textbook sweet-savory-salty combo.

Avocado kimchi fried rice: better than expected at 14,000 won

The avocado kimchi fried rice exceeded my expectations too — I thought it would just be plain kimchi fried rice, but it's topped with a fluffy omelet and a generous amount of rich avocado over a spicy-sweet, well-fried kimchi rice base.

The softness of the egg, the richness of the avocado, and the spiciness of the kimchi fried rice all come together in harmony — it just melts in your mouth.

Hot pepperoni half and the pizza crust

The spicy pepperoni's heat meets the pepperoni's richness in a really balanced way — it's not greasy at all, and actually makes you want more.

I personally think the crust at the edge of the pizza dough is really important, and this one was so crispy — sprinkle on a little parmesan and hot sauce and you get a whole new flavor to enjoy.

It was so good that we cleared every single plate in no time — wherever my partner passes through, not a single blade of grass survives....
