Seongsu café with outdoor gin and tonics at night: Mellows
In short
Mellows is an ice cream café in Seongdong, Seoul, near Ttukseom Station. I came for ice cream but ended up having a gin and tonic and Jadu Jadu at an outdoor table, with fruit and string cheese snacks. Mellows is a café I’d happily revisit for its lovely outdoor-night atmosphere and kind service.

A little slice of Europe with outdoor seating near Ttukseom Station
I came to Seongsu for the first time in ages, hehe. There’s so much to look at in Seongsu—take one step and I want to check out this and that~~ Then I found Mellows, an ice cream shop!
It’s right by Ttukseom Station too, so it’s easy to visit!

When I arrived out front, why was the vibe so good!! It was the perfect atmosphere for outdoor drinks these days, haha—I had no choice but to sit down~~~

Not Europe, but a little slice of Europe in Seongsu! Exactly my style!

Nighttime drinks ordered at an ice cream shop
The Mellows menu. I thought it was an ice cream specialty shop, but although they sell ice cream and coffee, they also serve whiskey and beer at night! So we were going to get ice cream, but instead got two drinks: a gin and tonic and Jadu Jadu!

There was even a beam projector and screen inside, so it was pure good-vibes 🩷

There are round tables inside like this, plus seats where you can eat while looking out the window.

First, place your order here!

We sat at a window-facing seat, and the kind owner even brought us blankets, hehe.

Gin and tonic, Jadu Jadu, and complimentary snacks
Our gin and tonic and Jadu Jadu! We also received green grapes, stevia tomatoes, and string cheese as complimentary snacks!! Ooh, doesn’t it look delicious????
The gin and tonic was the best gin and tonic I’d had recently! It had a pronounced lime-herb aroma, so it wasn’t overly sweet and went down so easily. Jadu Jadu was pure plum-flavored Mogu Mogu—a sweet soft drink through and through.

The tomato-mangoes and green grapes they served were especially sweet, and eating them together was an insanely perfect pairing! Fresh and sweet—the best combination for anyone who loves that sweet-and-tangy flavor, haha.

Especially when I ate the string cheese with tomato, it was just like a caprese salad! Haha.
The owner was so kind and even gave us fruit as a service! The cocktails were delicious, the outdoor-drinking atmosphere was so nice, and this is a place I 100% want to revisit!
Next time, I’m coming back for ice cream
It’s also a place where photos come out well, so next time I’m going to visit during the day and have ice cream too. Each ice cream flavor is different and distinctive, so I want to come back with friends and try them by flavor.
I also heard that the coffee is affordable and excellent because they use special premium beans!
Mellows (멜로우즈), which I visited while looking for a special dessert in Seongsu! It’s a premium ice cream specialty shop made with fresh milk from Sangha Farm, so if you normally love ice cream, it’s definitely worth stopping by at least once!
Rather than an artificial sweetness, the ice cream had the deep, rich flavor of milk itself, and it seemed so smooth and clean that I’d keep reaching for it without feeling weighed downㅠㅜ Each variety has a different flavor, texture, and character, so it was fun to choose and try several! I also loved that you can enjoy it according to your preferences by adding distinctive toppings, haha.
They also sell coffee brewed with specialty beans, which makes it nice to enjoy alongside ice cream. If you’re looking for a date-course stop or a dessert café in Seongsu or Ttukseom, this is somewhere I’d recommend! Next time, I want to try the other flavors one by one 🤍
