Citrus feta salad, gnocchi and pork steak with the jazz set

Table set with bread and citrus feta cheese salad
Mediterranean salad topped with citrus fruit and feta cheese

First up, to whet our appetites: bread and the citrus feta cheese salad — a Mediterranean-style salad combining fresh, sweet-tart citrus fruit, salty feta cheese, nutty granola, and olive oil.

Salad piled on bread

Bursting with freshness in every bite — piled on top of the bread, it made a wine snack good enough on its own!

A plate of Allegro's mushroom cream potato gnocchi
Close-up of the creamy potato gnocchi

The mushroom cream potato gnocchi was better than expected — the cream sauce was great, and the gnocchi itself was soft and chewy, genuinely delicious.

A spoonful of creamy gnocchi with large mushroom chunks

The generous chunks of mushroom paired so well with the richness of the cream that I ended up scraping the bowl clean to the last bite.

Plate of sous-vide pork shoulder steak with fries
Sous-vide pork shoulder steak topped with red pepper

The sous-vide pork shoulder steak was cooked sous-vide then seared, juicy and moist, and the slightly spicy red pepper on top was the finishing touch — officially a Bangi-dong must-eat!!

The pork was tender and the fries, dipped in the steak sauce, were great too haha

Another Season's live jazz performance at Allegro

After we'd eaten a fair amount, the jazz show started — a Brazilian pop band called Another Season.

Live performance by the Brazilian pop band Another Season

The lineup is piano, bass, drums, saxophone, and vocals, and the stylish melodies caught my ear right away.
