I don't know why I've been craving sandwiches so much lately. Since I'm on leave from work and staying home, a sandwich is so much more appealing than cooking a full meal, haha.

Then I found out about Town Sandwich, which has been getting a lot of buzz for its bread lately, and decided to check it out. Actually, Town Sandwich was already famous for being delicious at its old location, but it recently relocated to across from Jangmi shopping complex in Jamsil! Even before it opened there, word was already spreading that it was good, so I went to see for myself, haha.

It's located across from the Jamsil Jangmi Apartment shopping complex, next to Hyanggun Tower. It wasn't hard to find at all!

Inside Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch: easy for solo dining

Here's what the inside of Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch looks like! The seating works well both for a quick solo meal and for a relaxed meal chatting with a friend. Overall it had a cozy, low-key vibe that's easy to drop into.

What I ordered: Town Sandwich with extra rocket, tomato and egg mayo

There's a good variety of menu items, and I tried the Town Sandwich this time. While choosing my sandwich, I thought about which ingredients to add, and since I usually like sandwiches loaded with vegetables, I added rocket and tomato.

Adding egg mayo on top gave it a savory boost and made the whole thing much more substantial. I think the real fun of a sandwich is picking the ingredients you like and eating it your way, haha. Vegetables are a must for a pregnant woman, haha. Rather than eating them separately, it's better to just pack them all into the sandwich, hahaha.

I also ordered pumpkin soup and grapefruit tea alongside it. Sandwich with warm soup — just thinking about that combo makes it sound so satisfying!

Fresh vegetables in a crisp baguette

Once I tasted it, the baguette bread was clearly different! Crispy outside, so soft inside — it went really well with the fresh vegetables. And the vegetables were so fresh!

The crunch of vegetables like rocket and tomato, combined with the sandwich dressing, made for a really great combo. With the extra vegetables, the sandwich turned into a proper thick

With the extra vegetables, the sandwich became a properly thick, hearty sandwich, haha. Taking one big bite filled my mouth with ingredients, and it was really satisfying. Just one sandwich was quite filling!

Warm pumpkin soup with baguette for dipping

The pumpkin soup I ordered alongside was also delicious. It was sweet and warm, great for filling an empty stomach. They also gave me baguette bread to dip into the soup, and that combo was a real treat too.

The owner really knows what they're doing, haha. Dipping the crispy, soft baguette into the warm pumpkin soup was truly delicious.

A sandwich that tastes like an autumn picnic

After finishing my sandwich and heading out, a thought crossed my mind. Now that the weather is turning cooler, it would be so nice to grab one of these sandwiches to go and head out for a light outing.

Packing a sandwich and a drink, spreading out a mat by the Han River, and eating leisurely — that sounds like pure happiness! Just thinking about a delicious sandwich and a cool breeze already makes me a little giddy, haha. I really hope autumn gets cooler and breezier soon.

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch is the kind of place that'll come to mind whenever I want something simple yet filling! Next time I'd like to come with family and try some of the other menu items one by one. 😊
