Yeouido izakaya pork and bean sprout stir-fry with lamb rack: Nani

I had a dinner appointment in Yeouido, so I headed to Nani Yeouido Branch. There are so many restaurants and bars near Yeouido Station that I had a hard time deciding, but this time I decided to try lamb ribs.

Cutting to the chase: of everything we ate that day, the tender texture of the lamb shoulder rack stood out most, and the pork bean sprout stir-fry paired the meat and sprouts nicely, making it a great drinking snack. Best of all, it's an easy spot to find near Yeouido Station, so it works well as a meeting place.

Nani Yeouido Branch is right in front of Exit 3 of Yeouido Station! It's on the 3rd floor of the S-TRENUE building at 37 Gukjegeumyung-ro 2-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It's about 79m from Exit 3, so it's easy to reach by subway. Since it's on the 3rd floor, once you spot the building, it's not hard to find.

Business hours run 17:00–02:00, with last order at 01:00. Sundays are the regular closing day. It's a good time slot for stretching from dinner into late-night drinks.

Partitioned booths and the Yeouido view through Nani's full-height windows

Walking in, there were more people than I expected. Rather than a quiet restaurant, it felt more like an izakaya where Yeouido office workers come for dinner or a drink after work. The seats were partitioned booths, giving some sense of separation from the next table.

What I liked most was the view outside through the floor-to-ceiling window. Yeouido is full of buildings, so the evening view outside had a certain atmosphere to it. Nani is indeed known for having private rooms and partitioned seating, which is why it's popular for gatherings and drinking sessions.

those two dishes. First, the lamb shoulder rack. Some people worry about the strong smell that lamb can have, but when I tried it, the meat was mild and quite tender. It wasn't chewy at all — it went down smoothly, so if you like lamb ribs, this is a dish you'll enjoy without any complaints.

Per the current menu info, the premium lamb shoulder rack is listed as one of the signature dishes, using chilled Australian shoulder rack.

Then the pork and bean sprout stir-fry we ordered alongside. Eating it together with the bean sprouts made it much easier to enjoy than meat alone. My friend, munching on the sprouts, said

It's fiber, so it feels like it's holding things together somehow.

Of course it's not that the bean sprouts literally cancel out the richness of the meat, but eating crisp bean sprouts between bites of meat made the whole thing feel a lot cleaner on the palate. The pork bean sprout stir-fry is confirmed as one of Nani's main menu items too.

Is Nani a good izakaya for an after-work dinner in Yeouido?

Nani Yeouido Branch felt less like a fancy, dressed-up spot and more like a casual izakaya for dinner and a drink in Yeouido. It's worth a visit especially if

• you want somewhere close to Yeouido Station
• you're craving lamb ribs at an izakaya
• you prefer partitioned seating
• you need a spot for an office dinner gathering
• you want to eat while looking out at the view

any of these apply. That said, it was pretty crowded when I visited, so if you're hoping for a quiet, low-key meal, it's worth picking your time slot carefully.
