Weekend-morning Uijeongbu café with terrace-front seats: Forerest

A weekend outing to Uijeongbu with the baby! We went in the morning for coffee at Forerest, a large Uijeongbu café with a great view and great atmosphere. Plenty of high chairs, a spacious café with lots to look at — the baby loved it, and since we came in the morning it wasn't crowded at all, perfect for a relaxed stop.

Where is Forerest, and what are its hours?

Forerest is a café at 181 Nogyang-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, in the Nogyang-dong neighborhood. Hours are 11:00–24:00, open every day of the year.

Parking is ample, and pets are welcome — I saw guests there with their dogs too.

Forerest looks like a converted house. It might look a bit "huh?" from outside like this, but the view of greenery from inside is amazing.

The outdoor terrace seating looked great too. And it's huge!!

When I visited, the weather was nice, so there were guests sitting out on the terrace too.

There's a unisex restroom near the entrance, and a women's restroom further inside. Forerest has everything you'd need.

This is the central space, which was probably the living room.

Wanting to relax in this area, I sat at the indoor table right in front of the terrace. Best seat in the house..

There are also tables in room-like spaces. There are lots of large tables too, so it looks good for group visits.

In one of these rooms there's a tapestry with dogs on it and a mirror, and the baby kept wanting to go over there.

She looks like she's going to beg to have a dog once she's bigger..

Forerest menu and what we ordered

One nice feature is that they have organic teas! We ordered a latte and a flat white, plus the signature Basque cheesecake and an Earl Grey Basque cheesecake.

How were Forerest's café latte and flat white?

My husband said he wanted a café latte while parking, so I ordered a flat white and he ordered a café latte — but then he kept eyeing mine, so we swapped haha

Some places make a latte that tastes like just one shot of espresso, but this one wasn't watery at all — I liked that.

And the flat white. If you like a strong coffee flavor, I'd recommend the flat white!

Both are ₩6,500, so you can try either depending on your taste.

Signature Basque cheesecake vs Earl Grey Basque at Forerest

And the signature Basque cheesecake, which I'd wanted to try even before visiting because it looked so good in photos. The cheesecake was soft but firm, with a dense texture — so delicious!

It was so good that my husband demolished the plain one..

Then the Earl Grey Basque cheesecake. I agonized over the chocolate one, but I hadn't had Earl Grey in a while and craved it, so that's what I chose.

The Earl Grey flavor was just right, and if you like milk tea, you'll like this one too.

Final verdict on Forerest for a weekend morning with a baby

Great view, great interior — Forerest, a large Uijeongbu café. On top of that, the coffee's good, the cake's good, there's a restroom inside, and there are high chairs — it was so convenient to use.

After a busy week, we went for some weekend healing, and the baby behaved so well — it really was a healing time.
