The weather's really been nice and cool lately. On good-weather days I find myself hunting for cafés where I can eat something delicious and have a relaxed cup of coffee, and this time, while looking for a nice-vibe café in Uijeongbu, I ended up visiting Forerest.

There are honestly so many pretty cafés when you search around Uijeongbu, but Forerest especially blended in with the lush green surroundings, making it a great place to take a little break.

What I liked most walking into Forerest was the forest view 🌿 The outdoor space is full of trees and green scenery, so it really feels like stepping into nature for a moment!

Especially on a nice day, sitting at the outdoor tables sipping coffee feels really great. There are lots of trees around the tables, so the sunlight coming through looks pretty, and it's also nice for taking photos of your coffee and dessert.

So I felt like this isn't just a place to grab a coffee — it's also a good spot to spend time chatting leisurely. Because of that vibe, I think it would suit people looking for a Uijeongbu date course or a drive course to get some fresh air.

The inside of Forerest was really pretty too. Especially sitting in these green chairs and drinking coffee while looking out at the forest view seemed like it would be so nice 💚

What I ordered at Forerest: decaf iced Americano and two Basque cheesecakes

That day we ordered two iced Americanos at Forerest. One was the regular iced Americano, and for the other we paid an extra ₩1,000 to switch to decaf iced Americano ☺️

Lately I tend to prefer cafés where you can switch to decaf, so it was nice being able to choose decaf for one of the drinks~ And of course we also ordered the Basque cheesecakes (one Basque cheesecake, one chocolate Basque cheesecake) — can't skip those.

So we settled in at an outdoor table. Forerest's Basque cheesecake was chewy and delicious enough to hold its own as a Uijeongbu cake-spot recommendation 😋

True to its name, it had a really deep chocolate flavor! Chewy and sweet, one bite alone was enough to give me a sugar boost. The rich chocolate flavor added a deeper, heavier note to the taste.

The sweet-bitter taste of chocolate blended with the thick, savory flavor unique to cheese, so I think anyone who loves chocolate desserts would especially love this one. Good 💛

Forerest's plain Basque cheesecake

The original Basque cheesecake looked delicious from the deep browned surface alone — slightly chewy on the outside, and moist, thick texture toward the center. The savory, deep cheese flavor lingered gently in the mouth, and it went really well with the strong iced Americano 😎
