Baby-friendly Geomdan tonkatsu restaurant, jumbo gyukatsu: HOKATSU
In short
HOKATSU is a yogurt dry-aged tonkatsu restaurant on the first floor of Megabox Geomdan in Geomdan, Incheon. On a weekend lunch visit with a baby, the writer ordered the choiaekatsu (favorite cutlet plate) for 16,000 won and the jumbo grilled gyukatsu (beef cutlet) for 23,000 won, and HOKATSU already had baby chairs and baby tableware ready, so there was nothing extra to bring. Waiting is registered at the Catch Table kiosk by the door, and the juicy tenderloin cutlet and the generous jumbo portion were the highlights.

We went on an outing to Geomdan with our baby over the weekend and stopped by HOKATSU for tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) lunch :) This place was selected for the 2026 Blue Ribbon Survey and has been running in the same spot for over 10 years, so I was curious about it. They apparently developed their own dry-aging method using homemade yogurt for the cutlets, and I really wanted to know what that would taste like!
Where is HOKATSU and where do you park? 1st floor of Megabox Geomdan

HOKATSU is on the first floor of Megabox Geomdan. We drove, and the underground lot fits up to 127 cars with 2 hours free, so parking was easy. It's also only about 300m from Exit 1 of Dokjeong Station, so it looked like a fine option by public transit too.

We visited during Saturday lunch and there was a wait, but you can register at the Catch Table kiosk right at the entrance. Being a Blue Ribbon pick, it was pretty busy on the weekend haha.
Is HOKATSU easy with a baby? Baby chairs and baby tableware

The interior was clean overall and comfortable to eat in. We went with our baby, and baby chairs and baby tableware were already set up, so we could use them right away.

This kind of thing matters more than you'd think when eating out with a kid — it was genuinely convenient not having to bring anything extra.

Before the food came out, they served us homemade yogurt first. HOKATSU apparently developed their own dry-aging method using this homemade yogurt, and tasting it before the meal was delicious — that stuck with me too haha.
What we ordered at HOKATSU: choiaekatsu 16,000 won, jumbo grilled gyukatsu 23,000 won
- Choiaekatsu (favorite cutlet set) ₩16,000
- Jumbo grilled gyukatsu ₩23,000

Choiaekatsu: tenderloin cutlet and cheese cutlet on one plate
First, the choiaekatsu comes with tenderloin cutlet and cheese cutlet served together.

The tenderloin was really juicy and super tender. Even though the cutlet was on the thicker side, it didn't feel dry at all, so it was great to share with our baby too.

The cheese cutlet stretched nicely and had quite a generous amount of cheese too. Our baby ate bits of both the tenderloin and the cheese cutlet well, so it was nice for all of us to share haha.

Jumbo grilled gyukatsu: beef cutlet you grill at the table
The jumbo grilled gyukatsu isn't fully cooked like a regular tonkatsu — it's a gyukatsu (breaded beef cutlet) you grill yourself over a tabletop brazier. Grilling it lightly to your liking and eating it right away made for a fun, warm experience.

Above all, being a jumbo menu item, the portion was quite large. It comes out at 1.5 times the regular gyukatsu size, so it was plenty for two to share, and our meat-loving baby ate well too :)

Final verdict: lunch with a child in Geomdan, Incheon
There was a wait since it was weekend lunch, but registering through Catch Table meant it wasn't too inconvenient. I was curious about this place after seeing it on the 2026 Blue Ribbon list, and after eating there, the tenderloin cutlet's juicy, tender texture stuck with me, and the cheese cutlet was delicious with plenty of cheese too. Grilling the gyukatsu yourself over the brazier was a fun change from regular tonkatsu, and true to being a jumbo menu item, the portion was generous!
Above all, with baby chairs and baby tableware ready to go and our baby eating the meat well, if you're looking for a place to have lunch with your kid in Geomdan on a weekend, HOKATSU, a well-known spot in the Geomdan new town, is worth a visit 😊
