Nowon family buffet with toddler on a weekend: Kuu Kuu, banana split
In short
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a 300-pyeong sushi and seafood buffet on the 6th floor near Hagye Station in Nowon-gu, Seoul. Visiting with a 29-month-old on a weekend, the writer tried the newly launched Norwegian raw salmon sashimi, lamb chops and smoked duck, then finished with the marble ice cream, now available all day. If you love salmon, this is the richest time to visit, with both raw salmon sushi and sashimi on offer.

This time Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is offering actual Norwegian raw salmon! <Weekday dinner / weekends and holidays>
And! There's also an event where writing a Naver review gets you unlimited Terra and Kelly draft beer. Beer lovers would absolutely love that, right? Our schedule was tight afterward, so our chaotic household couldn't partake 🫠
We visited on a weekend. FYI the standard time limit is 2 hours, but if there's a waiting line, your meal time gets limited to 90 minutes.
For parking, you get 2 hours free if you park in the building, or 4 hours if you use the Hagye Techno Town underground lot. Hagye Techno Town is a 5-minute walk, so it's not a burden at all.
A 300-pyeong space with group and room seating
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch boasts a bright, comfortable atmosphere in a spacious 300+ pyeong space. In particular, you can use independent spaces for 50 / 80 / 300 guests as if you'd rented out the whole place! The rooms hold a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 60 guests, and the group seating area fits anywhere from 14 to 200 guests.

Sushi, sashimi, and roll corner
At this Nowon favorite, the variety and freshness of the sushi is the best part. In particular, the sashimi, sushi, and rolls made by chefs with traditional Japanese cooking experience, using fresh fish, are so varied~ There's also lots of salad options, and the dozens of kinds of sushi are unbeatable, as always!

Open kitchen and chicken like Ppurinkle
You can tell at a glance that even the kitchen area is kept spotless with careful management. It's an open kitchen, so it's fun to actually watch the cooking process happen~ (Of course my eyes were fixed on the food haha.) There was also a chicken menu item reminiscent of Ppurinkle (a popular seasoned fried chicken brand), and as a Ppurinkle lover, I dug in happily, hehe. There's also extra seasoning powder set out on the side, so you can sprinkle on more if you want. I sprinkled some on the side dishes too, and it was so satisfying.

What's on the new menu this time?
A whole range of new menu items came out this time.
✔️ Raw salmon sashimi ✔️ Smoked duck with a chewy texture ✔️ Tender, flavor-packed lamb chops ✔️ Halibut sushi and salmon sushi with bigger fish cuts than before ✔️ Shrimp sushi using peony shrimp

Desserts, and marble ice cream now all-day
There's such a variety of desserts too! From cakes to jellies to fruit 🤭 And most importantly, the marble ice cream — it used to be a weekday-dinner-and-weekend-only item, but now it's been changed to an all-day menu item 😍 It's the ice cream kids love most, so I bet a lot of kids will be hunting it down over lunch during school break.

Weekend visit with a 29-month-old: the most memorable dish
We tried a ton of the new menu items~ and also enjoyed plenty of our usual favorites on top of that. This visit really let us experience Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch at its most abundant! Especially for me, a salmon lover, the raw salmon sashimi was the most memorable dish ^^ Eating raw salmon sushi and raw salmon sashimi together, I got to enjoy salmon so abundantly — satisfaction upgraded.

We finished off with dessert too. Our chaotic household wrapped things up with sweet ice cream! With more flavor choices now, we just ate two at once 💚 For the marble ice cream, banana split is truth 🩷
