Anniversary dinner in Misa, Hanam: eggplant ricotta pizza at Bokkeriu
In short
Bokkeriu is a Western restaurant with Han River views on Misadong-ro in Hanam, Gyeonggi. For a wedding anniversary, a couple ordered the steak set for two — sourdough, corn soup, ricotta cheese salad, shrimp bisque pasta, 200g Korean beef striploin and Basque cheesecake — added an eggplant ricotta pizza, and received the lettered dessert they had requested when booking. With a full glass wall over the river at night, Bokkeriu works well for a special-occasion dinner.

Why we booked Bokkeriu in Misa, Hanam for our wedding anniversary
Bokkeriu is a Han River view Western restaurant at 102-19 Misadong-ro, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do. My husband and I wanted to have a nice dinner together for our anniversary, and after a lot of searching, we found Bokkeriu in Misa!

Since we have a kid, we've mostly been eating near home or getting takeout and eating separately. But now that our child has grown up a bit, I really wanted to have a cozy evening alone with my husband haha🤭 So a few days ago I started looking for a nice-atmosphere date spot in Misari with Han River views, and after seeing great reviews on both the interior and the food, we made a reservation at Bokkeriu.

The former Truenang site: how the name and menu changed
When we arrived, I noticed the building still had the name 'Truenang' on it, and when I mentioned it to my husband, he said that was actually the place he'd booked for his parents' anniversary once before.

After the meal, we talked about this with the owner, who told us that when they changed the name to 'Bokkeriu,' they also refreshed the menu and gave the space an even more upscale atmosphere.

And it really did feel like the space had been transformed into somewhere with more atmosphere, and better suited for focusing on the meal, just like they said.

Inside Bokkeriu: window seats and the Han River at night through a full glass wall
Walking in, the interior felt spacious and open, with a full glass wall showing off the Han River view — the kind of romantic, atmospheric space perfectly suited for anniversaries or date nights.

Since we had booked in advance, we were seated by the window, and through the full glass wall we could take in the whole view of the Han River and the night skyline.

What comes with the steak set for two at Bokkeriu?
We ordered the steak set for two plus an a la carte pizza.
- Sourdough & a cup of soup
- Chef's choice half salad
- Choice of pasta
- 200g Korean beef striploin steak
- Homemade dessert
- Drink
Sourdough, corn soup and ricotta cheese salad

The sourdough came out warm, and spread with butter it was moist and chewy — so good.
The corn soup filled my mouth with rich, nutty corn flavor from the very first bite.

The ricotta cheese salad dressing wasn't too strong either, and the vegetables were super fresh.

We'd only had the soup, bread, and salad, and we were already excited for the mains.
Choosing the shrimp bisque pasta

For the pasta, we went with the shrimp bisque pasta.
Reviews showed big, delicious-looking shrimp, so we picked it without hesitation.

It came with three big, plump, springy shrimp, and the portion was more generous than I expected.

The eggplant ricotta pizza we added, with leftovers boxed to go
This is the eggplant ricotta pizza we ordered as an add-on. I wondered if eggplant would work on a pizza, but with the ricotta cheese it turned out to go together really well and tasted great.
Maybe because it was baked in a wood-fired oven, the dough was chewy rather than hard. The owner told us to save room for the steak, so they boxed up the leftover pizza — I wanted to keep eating it warm, but I held back haha🤗

Korean beef striploin steak, cooked medium well
This is the Korean beef striploin steak, the main of the set. When taking our order, they asked how we'd like it done, so we requested 'medium well.'

Along with the steak, the garnish that came with it was also generously sized.
Perfectly grilled mushrooms, asparagus, zucchini, bell pepper, and onion made a perfect match with the steak. Just like the owner said, it really paid off to save the pizza and wait for the steak haha😁

The anniversary lettering dessert: Basque cheesecake
The final course of the set menu — the Basque cheesecake.
When I requested wedding anniversary lettering at booking, they added a cute little bear candle and a sweet message on the plate, and even lit the candle themselves to celebrate with us. It felt like I had prepared a surprise gift for my husband too, which made it an even more proud and special memory.
Getting to enjoy a lovely Western course meal alone with my husband after so long, on our anniversary, made for a truly meaningful day.

Is Bokkeriu worth it for an anniversary dinner in Misa, Hanam?
Attentive service, a wonderful course meal, and the Han River night view through the full glass wall — everything came together perfectly in this beautiful space.
If you're looking for a special date with your partner, or an upscale, atmospheric restaurant for a celebration in Hanam or Misari, I'd recommend 'Bokkeriu' in Misa!
