Misa, Hanam Italian restaurant weekday lunch, garden-view: Bokkeriu

Today I visited a date restaurant with a really nice atmosphere. It's Bokkeriu (보께리우), an Italian restaurant on the Misa-ri Han River side. Both the vibe and the food were really great ✨️

Where is Bokkeriu in Hanam, and where do you park?

I arrived at Bokkeriu Hanam, a well-known Misa-ri date spot. There's a public parking lot in front of the store, and you can also park on the 1st floor of the building. It was such nice autumn weather for a visit!

I visited during weekday lunch, and the parking lot was nearly full! It's on a great route for eating and then going for a walk, so even on a weekday there were a lot of people :)

The entrance already had a European feel 😇 I'd read a review saying you can see the Han River through the wide picture windows, so I was excited going in haha

What is Bokkeriu like at weekday lunch, and which seats have the garden view?

Since it was lunchtime, the place was nearly full! Bokkeriu Hanam, that beloved Misa-ri date spot, stood out with its modern, upscale interior. The spacing between tables was wide too, so you don't feel cramped sitting down 👏 I visited without a kid this time, but since they have baby dishes and baby chairs on hand, it seems like a great place to bring a little one too :)

First, the bread came out — oil-brushed bread that was really nutty and delicious 🥺 Bokkeriu Hanam also looked like a great place for coffee. With the open kitchen letting you watch the cooking process, the coffee machine especially caught my eye 🤭 so we ordered an ade and a coffee :)

I'd made a reservation, and they set the table beautifully — plates, cutlery set and all — so I could wait for the meal in a good mood. Bokkeriu Hanam, the well-loved Misa-ri date spot, is a corkage-free restaurant, letting you bring in one bottle of wine for free. It seems like a great place to visit for a special occasion 🫶🏻 They also mentioned a lettering service is available for anniversaries 🫶🏻

What we ordered at Bokkeriu: Korean beef pizza, seafood tomato pasta, striploin mushroom risotto

Bokkeriu Hanam is popular for everything from pasta and pizza to steak and desserts. The dessert is a house-made cheesecake, which made me want to order it too! Wanting to eat well after the meal, we ordered the Korean beef pizza, seafood tomato pasta, and striploin mushroom risotto.

The pasta came out first, and it was really packed with seafood. I love pasta and have tried it in many places, but the depth of flavor here was really deep..! My partner and I already promised to come back 🤭

Next was the striploin mushroom risotto. The chef here really knows how to cook..🥺💛 I'd come here first thinking of it as a nice-atmosphere restaurant, but with quality ingredients and food this good, it was a genuinely happy meal.!

Is the Korean beef pizza worth ordering?

Finally, the Korean beef pizza arrived. Maybe because the pizza is baked in-house, the dough was really soft..! Bokkeriu Hanam apparently uses a wood-fired dough to give it that chewy texture.

The main dishes at Bokkeriu were all great, and even the little touches — the sauces and the pickles — were delicious ✨️ The dipping sauce they served for the pizza was also really tasty..!! My partner and I both admitted that famous places really are famous for a reason 🤣

It was my first time trying Korean beef pizza, and it was packed with big chunks of Korean beef, so I'd definitely order it again next time. I'd recommend it to anyone deciding what to get at Bokkeriu :)

After finishing the meal, I looked back and the place had quieted down. The Han River view and the lush green trees were so beautiful 🥺 It also seems like a great spot for a walk after eating. I recommend Bokkeriu as a family dining spot in Hanam Misa 👏🥺
