If you're looking for a good beef restaurant in Suwon, I really want to recommend giving Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch a try!

The meat is genuinely delicious and the side dishes and service are all excellent across the board. (The owner and staff were super friendly too!!) And with the hanwoo assorted platter, you get to try several cuts at once, which is great.

We also ordered the yukhoe tangtang-i, and honestly the visuals on Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye's yukhoe tangtang were amazing and the taste was top notch too~!

At the end they even gave us patbingsu on the house, so we left completely full and in a great mood~~

Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch is open daily from 11:00 to 23:00, with last order at 22:00.

Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch: hours, atmosphere and parking

Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch is a hanwoo charcoal grill restaurant in Ingye-dong, Suwon, and there's a really spacious parking lot right in front. No need to worry about finding a spot even if you drive!

A pretty big chandelier welcomed us in (?)

When you're looking for a group meeting spot among Ingye-dong restaurants, a spacious layout and whether they have rooms matter a lot. So I checked out the interior.

The place is clean and well-ventilated, so even though it's a BBQ restaurant it didn't feel stuffy, which I liked! Even after finishing all the meat, I still felt fresh~

This is the room-style private space inside Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye — as you can see it's spacious, so I thought it'd be perfect for a team dinner haha

We went for beef in Suwon and ordered 3 servings of the hanwoo assorted cuts plus yukhoe tangtang-i~

Raw hanwoo cuts arranged by part on the platter

The hanwoo assorted platter comes in 150g per serving. It includes sirloin, chuck flap tail, short rib fingers, skirt steak, eotjinsal, hanging tender, and chuck flap. So you're eating hanwoo, but not just one cut over and over — you get to compare several cuts one by one, which made it even better~ Besides the assorted platter alone, there's also Set A (hanwoo assorted 3 servings + alchadol for 1), and a set menu that includes pork, so you can choose based on your preference!

Why Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch works for a group dinner in Ingye-dong

Side dishes preset at the reserved table

We had reserved ahead, and by the time we got to our seat the side dishes were already neatly set up! Plus, the scallion and bean sprout salad was tossed fresh right when we arrived?! That's when I first thought... the owner has real sense...

Complimentary doenjang sulbap and shaved ice

On top of that, they gave us complimentary doenjang sulbap and bingsu to finish, so it turned into a proper full meal~

Side dishes and the charcoal grill setup

At Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch, the side dish setup comes first. The cucumber pickles were tasty, and there was kimchi and myeong-i namul (pickled mountain garlic leaves) too, good to pair one at a time with the meat~

While we were tasting our way through the side dishes, they immediately set up the charcoal grill for us.

Even someone who knows nothing about charcoal like me could tell the charcoal looked really good! Grilling on a regular pan versus over charcoal really does change the flavor of the meat~~

Yukhoe tangtang-i topped with abalone

We had ordered the yukhoe tangtang-i! So while the beef was cooking, we enjoyed the yukhoe tangtang-i that came out first.

The yukhoe and tangtang-i came with abalone on top too, and seeing that at first made us go wow.

The abalone was really chewy and springy, and the tangtang-i was fresh too, so we could really feel the texture.

There was something like a soy-colored ice cube on top, and I wondered what it was...? Turns out it had a jelly-like bounce and a soy sauce base flavor, which was pretty interesting!

Complimentary doenjang sulbap at Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch

As we kept eating, the complimentary doenjang sulbap was really delicious too! Actually I felt like once it cooled down, the broth got richer and even tastier haha

Hanwoo assorted cuts placed on the charcoal grill

Grilling the hanwoo platter for three, cut by cut

Then the hanwoo assorted platter arrived right away~ And what a sight!!! The marbling was gorgeous and you could tell right away it was really fresh meat.

Grilling it cut by cut, the portion turned out to be more than expected, and since there were so many different cuts, we ended up eating slowly~

Hanwoo sirloin browning nicely over the charcoal

We started with the sirloin-type cut, and it looked delicious just from how it browned nicely over the charcoal.

Haha, at first I panicked a bit thinking, wait, is it getting charred, I need to flip it fast — but then my dad said 'it's supposed to get a bit charred like that,' so I stopped meddling with the meat.

Turns out years of dinner-meeting grilling experience doesn't lie. He grilled the meat so well that we ate it super happily! He grills well at home too, but everyone raved that the meat grilled here was way better! Ah, this is why people pay to eat beef out. It was genuinely delicious even just dipped in salt~

A piece of hanwoo charcoal-grilled beef dipped only in salt

The combination of the beef quality and the charcoal grill seems to be what creates this soft, savory flavor~

The outside is nicely cooked, but take a bite and the inside is really tender and juicy!

It was great with myeong-i namul, and with scallion shreds it got a bit fresher, so I kept reaching for more. We also tried wrapping the yukhoe tangtang-i in myeong-i namul together, and that was amazing too!

Grilled hanwoo paired with myeong-i namul and scallion shreds

Since it was the hanwoo assorted platter, we went on to grill the chuck flap tail, short rib fingers, and skirt steak one by one~

The chuck flap tail was tender with a rich, fatty flavor that spread through the mouth, and the short rib fingers had a deeper beefy taste the more you chewed — personally I felt that one paired really well with the charcoal haha

Water naengmyeon received through the receipt review

Water naengmyeon and bibim naengmyeon from the receipt review

We also got one water naengmyeon (cold noodles) and one bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) through the receipt review event! One of each, and they came with generous toppings inside too, so they were way tastier than expected!!!!

Giving this out as part of a review event... does the owner even make anything off it....?

It cleared the palate completely and made me want to eat meat again — that kind of savory, refreshingly cool flavor! If you go to Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch, I really recommend trying the naengmyeon~~

With the naengmyeon finished, the meal was wrapping up! And then at the very end they gave us patbingsu on the house..! Taking care of dessert too at the end made it a really satisfying meal!

Is Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch worth it for Suwon hanwoo?

If I want beef in Suwon again, I think I'd visit Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch once more haha

It's especially great for when you'd rather try several different cuts than stick to just one, among Ingye-dong beef spots~ If you're searching for restaurants in Ingye-dong and looking for a spot for a family meal, a date, or a group dinner and gathering, this one fits well too!

The meat was great, but the doenjang sulbap, the naengmyeon, and the patbingsu at the end all left me satisfied through and through!!! If you're looking for beef in Ingye-dong, I'd recommend Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch haha
