For anyone in Hannam-dong who wants a quick sandwich, I recommend Dance Dance Dance Hannam. It's the same brand that has a branch at Seoul Station. The Hannam branch is a small sandwich shop up the hill side of Hannam-o거리, open from 8am, so it's great for grabbing a sandwich on your commute or picking one up while out and about in Hannam-dong haha.

Inside the shop: 5 window seats, mainly takeout

The shop is pretty tiny. As soon as you walk in you see the space where the coffee and sandwiches are made right in front of you. There's a small window seat area where you can eat in~ but most customers seemed to be taking out, so it also seems like a good spot for a quick solo meal!

On one wall there's a display of goods like t-shirts and mugs... it makes you wonder if this is really a sandwich shop, it's so hip and trendy! A sandwich shop with real style. Even the sandwich box and packaging bag are pretty hahaha.

They're running a Naver review event too, so make sure to write a review and get it! Since so many people take out, they even had a canned cold brew menu from Dance Dance Dance! Must be super convenient for packing.

I also checked out the baguettes, and there were bread items like scones too!

How to order: kiosk or Naver order

If you search on Naver, the menu comes up nicely with photos too! Naver ordering is available, so if you're in a hurry it's good to use that. I browsed carefully at the kiosk and, true to my spicy-food-lover self, picked out the spicy sandwiches.

Jambon jalapeño and tuna jalapeño sandwiches, 11,900 won each

Ham jalapeño sandwich (₩11,900) / Tuna jalapeño sandwich (₩11,900)

I asked them to cut these two, and packed them up quickly to eat at home!

First up, the ham jalapeño! It was marked as spice level 2, and the jalapeño had a sharp kick that balanced the flavor really well. The ham had a pretty plain, clean taste, so it was a really refreshing combo.

I thought the tuna jalapeño might taste similar, but tuna is definitely eaten for that mayo-mixed flavor, so it was different. Savory, soft tuna mayo with the jalapeño cutting through any heaviness. I also swapped the bread to ciabatta, and personally I liked that better because ciabatta is softer — a baguette isn't really a bread you eat for softness, right? Hahaha. The soft ciabatta went really well with the tuna. Personally I'd recommend the tuna~~~~ but both were delicious!

Even the bag is pretty hahaha. Quickly grabbed it and headed home.

Sandwiches are honestly something you should eat right away, but I bought mine as a dinner substitute so I ate it that evening. Still, please eat your sandwich right away...!!
