Han River yacht cruise with champagne in Yeongdeungpo: Sailing Paradise

In short

Sailing Paradise is a Han River yacht-tour operator in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. On its 7 PM public Romantic Yacht Tour, we had champagne and snacks on a 1-hour ₩30,000 cruise past the 63 Building, Bamseom and Dangsan Railway Bridge; clouds hid the full sunset, but the mood was lovely. Verdict: a fun public outing, though I’d choose a private tour next time.

Last weekend, my boyfriend and I went on a Han River yacht-tour date because we wanted to make an unusual, special memory together for the first time in ages.

We chose Sailing Paradise in Yeouido. There were lots of reviews saying its newly built yachts were high quality and the route was well planned, so we booked ahead and went!

⛵ Arrive 20 minutes before departure and complete the boarding form

We wanted to take in a pretty sunset from the yacht, so we deliberately booked the 7 PM slot.

Head down in the direction of the duck boats and the signs are easy to follow, so anyone should be able to find the office without trouble~

As soon as we arrived at the office, we filled out the boarding form first. It just asks for basic details such as your name and contact information, but it is essential for safety, so everyone must complete it!

You can choose either a public or private yacht, and we booked the public Romantic Yacht Tour! ✔️ ₩30,000 per person for 1 hour

What the 7 PM Romantic Yacht Tour felt like

Romantic yacht ready for boarding before departure

After completing the boarding form and waiting at the outdoor tables, boarding began at 6:50 PM, 10 minutes before departure. The yacht we rode was small, but it looked so clean and stylish from the outside that I was already bursting with excitement before getting on!

⛵ A Romantic Yacht Tour with a group of 10

The Romantic Yacht Tour operates with a minimum of five people, and this time a total of 10 people, including us, boarded as one group.

Inside the yacht, the clean white-toned interior stood out. There was a comfy sofa area, and the interior was roomier than I expected, so it felt pleasant. But once we were on board, it definitely felt lively since it was a public tour shared with other couples. 🥺

Of course, that bustle had its own fun, but next time I’d like to pay a little more and properly enjoy a private tour just for us. Renting one privately for an anniversary or proposal would be absolutely perfect!!

Champagne and welcome snacks

One thing that made me think Sailing Paradise was so thoughtful was that it provides welcome drinks and snacks!

A glass of champagne enjoyed on the Han River

Cruising along the Han River with a cool river breeze on the yacht, then having a gentle glass of champagne on board—it was romance itself. Clinking glasses with my boyfriend had me feeling so fluttery!🥂

The yacht departed from the dock near Yeouido’s 63 Building, passed Bamseom, went as far as Dangsan Railway Bridge, and returned—a 1-hour round-trip route.

The boat was steadier than I expected and there was very little rocking, so I could enjoy it comfortably without worrying about motion sickness!

It was fascinating to see Bamseom up close too, an ecological treasure right in the middle of Seoul. We also passed other cruise boats and yachts along the way, and waving hello to one another gave the ride a little extra cheerful energy, haha.

Especially when we reached Dangsan Railway Bridge, the timing was perfect: we got to watch the subway and trains rumble by one after another! Seoul’s everyday scenery somehow felt more special and romantic when seen from a yacht 🥰

How was the cloudy 7 PM sunset slot?

🌆 Disappointing clouds, but a sunset slot with its own charm

On the way back to the dock, the river breeze was nicely cool, so it wasn’t hot at all and the ride ended on just the right note. The one disappointing thing that day was that there were so many clouds in the sky that we didn’t get the blazing, perfect sunset we had hoped for..ㅜㅜ

The 7 PM slot is right at golden hour, so I had been expecting an amazing sunset, but the weather fairy didn’t help us out..🥲

Red light spreading through clouds over the Han River

Still, the softly spreading red light between the clouds and the Han River’s gradually bluer colors came together in a strangely lovely way, with their own unique charm and romance. It wasn’t a 100-point sunset, but it was more romantic and fun than expected, and I think my boyfriend and I made another precious memory together 🤍

If you’re deciding on a date plan for this weekend, I recommend a Han River yacht-tour date in Yeouido!
