Seongsu dessert café with Dutch americano and tiramisu soufflé: 5to7

A visit report on [5to7 Seongsu Main Branch], a soufflé spot in Seongsu with really good vibes 💗

Lately I've been on a mission to try every café that's got a nice atmosphere and pretty, sweet desserts, and after a while I finally found a place I genuinely loved, so here's a post about it ,,, today I'm introducing a soufflé spot near Seoul Forest!

Where 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is and when it opens

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is near Exit 5 of Seoul Forest Station, open Mon-Sun 12:00-21:00, with last order at 20:30.

It's technically by Exit 5 of Seoul Forest Station, but it's also close to Seongsu and Ttukseom stations, so it's worth a visit if you're hunting for dessert spots in the area.

Central hall seats where you can watch the soufflés being made

The moment you walk into 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch, there are sunny window seats, plus a central hall where you can watch staff making drinks and soufflés right in front of you — the interior was really pretty.

And if you get lucky and sit by the window, you can peek at the staff making soufflés up close haha. At first I thought the seating looked kind of tight, but there's also seating upstairs and plenty of spots to eat outside on the ground floor, so overall the space feels roomy and comfortable.

Ground floor or second floor: which seats to take at 5to7

If you want to have a quiet conversation at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch, I'd recommend the second floor. It's larger than the first floor and gets even better light, and not many people go up there.

I went up to the second floor near the end of my visit — it's bigger than the first floor, and since there's no central hall taking up space, it feels more open with a more varied interior that's fun just to look at.

There are window seats on the first floor too, but the second floor gets even more natural light, so I'd personally recommend visiting the second floor.

Not many people head upstairs, so if you want a quiet conversation, going up is the way to go!

The soufflé lineup and the tiramisu soufflé

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch's signature soufflé menu, at the time of my visit, included fig / tiramisu / pearl crème brûlée / matcha, and we ordered the tiramisu soufflé and a Dutch coffee.

There's a wide range of drinks too, and we went with the safe choice, Dutch coffee. On Naver Maps I'd seen a strawberry soufflé that I wanted to try, but it seems the menu changes a bit with the season ㅠㅠ (from what I recall, right now there's no ube or strawberry — fig and some other flavors instead).

Personally I found it interesting that they sell tapioca pearls alongside the soufflés, but I still went with the tiramisu since it seemed like the safest bet. They told us the soufflé would take a bit of time to make, but it came out before too long,

and the visual on this soufflé was absolutely insane >.< and the taste when I took a bite… 👍👍

Honestly I'm not that into fluffy, airy desserts so I rarely go to soufflé places — I only went because my friend who came with me has soufflé as her all-time favorite dessert — but the soufflé here was genuinely delicious.

They topped it with tiramisu powder and chocolate syrup too, so it was just the right mix of bitter and sweet, and I kept mindlessly scooping more of it.

I enjoyed it a lot, and my friend who came along said the soufflé here was so good she wants to come back again.

Why the Dutch americano impressed more than the soufflé

But! Soufflé aside, I actually think 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is a coffee spot. The Dutch coffee is genuinely delicious. Low in acidity, more nutty — I wanted to know their brewing method, it was that good.

Anyway, I came expecting to enjoy one tasty soufflé, but since it's in Seongsu, there's plenty to do nearby, and the interior and atmosphere were so nice that I felt like I'd found a great spot for a satisfying outing — it made for a rewarding day.
