Hi, this is Ddudu! This trip was probably going to be my last one before Maru arrives, so I headed out to Oido for the weekend to get some fresh air. And once you're at Oido, you can't just skip grilled shellfish, right? While looking for a good spot, I found a place where you can eat unlimited shellfish, meat and sides all together — Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch. It's not far from Oido to Baegot either, and there's plenty of shopping and things to do nearby, so it seemed like a solid pick for anyone looking for a Baegot date restaurant.

What ₩35,900 per adult covers: unlimited shellfish and meat

Spacious restaurant interior with a full window wall

This place runs on a 'shellfish by the sea, feels like youth' concept, letting you eat unlimited shellfish and meat with no time limit. About 11 kinds of fresh shellfish prepared daily, a variety of meats, and over 20 side dishes — the biggest draw is being able to pick whatever you like.

Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch costs ₩35,900 per adult. Considering that you get unlimited grilled shellfish and meat together, I thought the price was pretty reasonable. It felt lighter on the wallet than ordering a set menu at a typical shellfish grill, and best of all, you can just keep eating as much as you want. It seems like a great match for anyone looking for a Baegot restaurant for a group dinner.

Arriving at 5pm: what are the window seats like?

We wanted to catch the sunset too, so we went for an early dinner around 5pm. I figured it'd be quiet at that hour, but it was busier than expected and the place felt pretty lively. Luckily a table opened up right as we arrived, so we didn't have to wait.

You might picture a shellfish grill as a bit chaotic or messy, but the restaurant was cleaner and more spacious than I expected. The full window wall in particular kept the indoor air from feeling stuffy, and the space felt pretty comfortable. We were seated at a window table, so we got to enjoy the view outside while eating — great if you're looking for a Baegot date restaurant that also cares about atmosphere!

Cold water served in an ice-filled container

As soon as we sat down, they brought out water. It came in a container packed with ice, so we could drink it cold throughout the meal. Bottled water is an extra ₩1,000, and once you finish it there's also a water dispenser you can use!

How the ₩4,000 steam pot swap works instead of grilling

For first-timers, there's a guide on how to grill the shellfish, worth a read before you start. This time we decided to go with steamed instead of grilled, just to be safe. Steaming costs an extra ₩4,000, but grilled shellfish is great too — we wanted to make sure everything was thoroughly cooked, so we chose steamed.

Which clams were on the tank lineup that day

The shellfish available at Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch that day included bay scallops, giant clams, abalone, red scallops, Manila clams, white hard clams, horn snails, brocade clams, cockle clams and more. They were kept alive in a tank, and up close they looked really fresh. Rather than being rinsed in tap water, the shellfish shipped straight from the source are kept alive in seawater-filled tanks, which definitely came through when we scooped them out.

At the time of our visit, there was a notice that the scallops were running a bit smaller than usual, due to bad weather and mass die-offs affecting the supply chain at the source, which had led to smaller sizes coming in. I actually appreciated them being upfront about that!

Pork cuts and 20-plus sides at the self-bar

Another strong point of Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch is that it's not only shellfish that's unlimited. There's pork jowl, pork belly, pork neck, beef brisket and more, plus a variety of banchan (side dishes) and grillable extras to go with the meat.

Self-bar with grillable side dishes and banchan

Being able to bring back as much shellfish, meat and sides as we wanted without any hesitation made it feel like a proper all-you-can-eat experience. With this kind of lineup, it seems like a great pick for a group looking for a hearty Baegot restaurant for a work dinner.

Self-bar corner with ramyeon and instant rice

Ramyeon (instant noodles) and haetban (instant rice) cost extra, and you just let staff know when you check out after using the self-bar.

Filling the first tray with the clams we wanted most

A plate loaded with a variety of shellfish
A plate of meat brought from the self-bar

We went to the self-bar and loaded up a variety of meat and shellfish. The plan was to try a little of everything first, then go back for seconds of whatever we liked best. Since it's all-you-can-eat, I honestly wasn't expecting much in terms of taste or quality, but both the meat and shellfish turned out fresher than expected — really satisfying. Personally, I didn't feel any drop in quality just because it was unlimited!

Side dishes laid out to eat with the meat

I also liked that the meat grill and the shellfish steaming pot were set up separately, with independent heat controls, making it easy to eat both at once! We grabbed some side dishes to go with the meat and got started.

Grilling the pork jowl, pork belly and sides

Meat placed on the hot grill

Once the grill was hot enough, they put the meat on. The shellfish went into a separate steaming pot. And on the meat grill, we got to cook a bunch of side dishes at the same time, which was great.

Meat grilling alongside mushrooms, cheese sticks, corn cheese and kimchi pancake

Beyond the meat, grilling mushrooms, cheese sticks, corn cheese and kimchi pancake (kimchijeon) together made picking through everything really fun. The nicely browned meat, wrapped in lettuce, was of course delicious. Topping it with corn cheese added a nutty richness that kept my hand going back for more.

A second round of meat cooking on the paper-foil grill

The grill was lined with paper foil, and the staff checked in regularly to swap it out. Once they changed it, we could start grilling the next round right away without any break in the flow. Before the steamed shellfish was ready, they also brought us cheese-chojang (cheese and vinegar-chili sauce) to go with it.

A loaded steam pot of scallops, giant clam and abalone

Steamed shellfish takes a bit of time to cook, so they loaded the pot generously right from the start. We piled in a mix of giant clams, scallops and abalone, and it looked plenty hearty just to look at!

They said once the shellfish start opening up, that's the sign they're done. Horn snails apparently need a bit more time to cook through, so we started with the scallops and abalone first.

First bite: springy abalone straight from the pot

Plump abalone cooked as steamed shellfish

The abalone looked fresh even back in the tank, so I had high hopes. We loaded up plenty of it and ate our fill. Dipping the plump, well-cooked abalone into chojang was, as expected, delicious. Cooked as steamed shellfish, it kept a moist yet chewy texture that was really satisfying. At Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch, you can bring back as much of whatever shellfish you want, so if you have a favorite, feel free to load up!

The best of the lot: giant clam (kijogae)

Personally, the giant clam was my favorite! My boyfriend prepped it for easy eating, so I just got to enjoy it — the chewy scallop-like texture was really nice. Giant clam has that distinct chewy, mild flavor, and dipping it in chojang, I couldn't stop eating it.

The horn snail was also chewy and plump, and eating it with cheese-chojang or corn cheese gave it a whole different flavor to enjoy!

Second pot of steamed scallops, cockle clams and giant clams

If the first pot was for trying a bit of everything, the second round was all about the shellfish we'd liked most. This time we only brought back scallops, cockle clams and giant clams. My boyfriend especially recommended the cockle clam, and trying it, the mild yet chewy texture was really good. Since the shellfish was fresh overall, each type's distinct texture and flavor really came through. Dipping into chojang, I genuinely couldn't stop eating. We properly enjoyed the all-you-can-eat that day.

Ending the meal with ramyeon from the self-bar

We were already stuffed, but of course we finished with ramyeon. I considered adding shellfish, but since we'd already had it steamed that day, we just kept the ramyeon simple. Even though we were full, somehow there was still room for ramyeon. A spicy, hot sip of broth even made the full feeling ease up a little. Unlimited refill really doesn't feel complete without ending on ramyeon. If you're looking for a Baegot Sincheon-A restaurant where you can enjoy shellfish and meat together, this setup is a solid choice!

Is it a good group dinner or date spot in Baegot?

Table spread of shellfish and meat enjoyed at a window seat

If it were only shellfish, the menu options might feel a bit limited, but Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch also offers meat and sides, making it a good fit for groups. I especially liked that people who love meat and people who love shellfish can both visit together and eat exactly what they like. So I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a hearty Baegot restaurant for a group dinner. On the other hand, it's just as good for couples wanting to sit by the window and slowly enjoy shellfish and meat together, making it a solid Baegot date restaurant too. If you're planning to combine shopping or a day trip with a meal, it's worth checking out if you're searching for a Baegot Sincheon-A restaurant!

I went in craving grilled shellfish after a trip to Oido, and ended up more satisfied than expected thanks to the variety of meat and sides on top of the shellfish. What I liked most was being able to keep grabbing whatever I wanted without any hesitation. Between picking through fresh shellfish by type and enjoying the meat and sides too, I ended up truly full. If you're looking for a hearty Baegot restaurant for a group dinner, or a Baegot date restaurant with something a little different, this place is worth a visit.
