While looking for a place for a family meal in Baegot, I went to Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish with my husband and elementary-school daughter. I love grilled shellfish myself and was satisfied, but it was also a fine choice for someone who isn't a big shellfish fan. Along with shellfish, they have meat and a variety of self-serve bar options, and best of all, there's no time limit, so you can eat slowly. I really liked that.
2nd floor of Baegot Abenue France, easy to find

The Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish sign was visible from outside the building, so it wasn't hard to find. When we visited, there were a lot of customers, so we waited a bit before getting in. Even though we had to wait, the staff guided us kindly, which made a great first impression. The entrance also had signs listing the origin of each type of shellfish.

They also sell salt-grilled king prawns separately, so next time I'd like to try the shrimp too.
Grilling shellfish by the window, with a breeze

Once inside, there were really a lot of customers — barely any empty seats, from families to groups of several people dining together. So this place could also be worth checking out for anyone looking for a spot in Baegot for a group dinner. We sat by the window, and that spot was especially nice. A breeze came in through the window, and grilling shellfish with that cool air blowing in made for a really great atmosphere. Between the smell of grilling shellfish and the breeze drifting in, it almost felt like eating grilled shellfish at the beach.
Price and the time limit?

At the time of our visit, adult admission was ₩35,900 and elementary student admission was ₩21,900. What I liked most was that there's no time limit. Grilled shellfish takes time to cook, and having a time limit can make you feel rushed, but here we could take our time. We basically treated this as our second and third round of the day and ate until we were completely full.
Picking your own shellfish from the tank
The tank had several kinds of shellfish ready — scallops, red scallops, red clams, littleneck clams, and more.
You pick the shellfish you want yourself and bring it over, so you can take as much as you'd like. They were so fresh that even after being plated and brought to the table, they kept spraying water.

At one point water pistols went off from every direction and we all burst out laughing.

Meat and self-serve bar for shellfish skeptics
There was plenty for people who aren't big shellfish fans, too. Pork belly, pork neck, and other cuts of meat were all available, so we could grill meat and shellfish together.

There was kimchi, garlic, mushrooms, and peppers that grill well alongside everything, plus items like corn cheese you could pop onto the pan. My daughter grilled meat with instant rice, made some corn cheese, and ended up eating more shellfish than I expected. So even with an elementary schooler along, there was never a sense of running out of things to eat.

Ramyeon (instant noodles) and instant rice were also available. Since we'd had to wait to get in, the owner even threw in a free ramyeon for us. That kind of small gesture of kindness really stuck with me.

Self-serve bar hygiene held up even when busy
Personally, what stood out to me as much as the food was how well hygiene was maintained. A self-serve bar can get messy quickly when lots of people use it, but the staff kept checking on it, wiping down and tidying up constantly. So even with that many customers, the self-serve bar still felt well maintained.
The staff also checked the paper foil lining the grill from time to time and swapped it out on their own. It felt thoughtful that they'd notice and replace it without us having to ask. Both the owner and staff were friendly overall, which made for a pleasant meal even in such a busy restaurant.
Meat on one side, shellfish on the other
We grilled meat on one side of the pan and shellfish on the other, eating them together.

There was something fun about pulling each shellfish off the grill the moment it popped open, and with everything from scallops to big chunky clams, there was plenty of variety to pick from.

The larger clams in particular looked delicious the moment they popped open while cooking.

The cooked shellfish meat was great on its own, and dipping it in the sauces we'd brought gave it a whole different flavor. I love things like shellfish gratin made with chojang (vinegared chili paste) mixed with cheese and shellfish broth, and being able to make that here to my heart's content — I went all out, haha.
Between bites of shellfish, a piece of meat, some grilled kimchi, and corn cheese, there was never a dull moment.
Finishing with shellfish-infused ramyeon
At the end, of course, we couldn't skip the ramyeon. Even after eating that much shellfish and meat, a hot bowl of ramyeon was the perfect way to close things out. Ramyeon made with shellfish in it — the broth is just different, seriously different. If you think ramyeon is overpriced and skip it, you'll definitely regret it!!

And a meal like this really can't be complete without soju. Soju was self-serve — kept chilled, and with ice packed into a basket to hold it, we could drink it cold the whole meal. There's also unlimited beer refills, which is perfect for beer lovers. There were already plenty of people around us drinking beer.

As we were leaving, the owner even gave candy to tables with kids. It's a small thing, but paying that much attention to children felt genuinely kind. My daughter got some candy too and left in a great mood.
Good for family dinners and group get-togethers alike

There was a wide variety of shellfish, and you could take as much as you wanted, plus meat and plenty of self-serve bar options for anyone who isn't into shellfish. Best of all, with no time limit, our family could eat slowly without rushing. I also remember how the staff kept tidying the self-serve bar and swapped out the grill's paper foil without being asked. It's a good spot for a family meal like ours with a kid along, and just as good a recommendation for a Baegot group dinner spot where everyone can eat their fill.
