This time, when heading to Mangwon Han River Park, I sorted out my whole picnic setup at Picnic List Mangwon and had a relaxed trip to the Han River. Let me introduce it 😌

The clean, cute exterior caught my eye. When you're borrowing this and that for a picnic your load gets heavy, so accessibility matters most — Picnic List Mangwon is just one crosswalk from the entrance to the Han River park, so carrying gear was no trouble at all 💗

What can you rent at Picnic List Mangwon, and how much does it cost?

I liked the price list breaking down everything from sets to individual items. Mats and tables, sure, but also a Bluetooth speaker, badminton set, picnic basket, electric fly swatter, wood table, backrest chairs, picnic hat, blanket, wine glasses, rattan props, bubble gun, board games — so many small but useful, thoughtful items that there was nothing extra to pack myself 👍

Friday at 4pm: is the unstaffed shop hard to use?

I visited Picnic List Mangwon at 4pm on a Friday, so it was running unmanned. But even unmanned, can you see how tidy the inside is? The sections are divided so clearly, and you just pull out exactly what you want to rent, so being unmanned wasn't difficult at all.

So I loaded the wagon full and headed for the Han River park 😌 One thing to watch out for though — make sure to keep checking that nothing falls off the wagon as you pull it. The gear is light so you can't feel it dropping haha. I didn't even notice my sunshade had fallen off until I ran back and grabbed it ㅎㅎㅠ

I ended up packing so much and heading to Mangwon Han River Park haha. The weather was great and since it was Friday afternoon there were quite a few people, but still fewer than Yeouido, so it felt spacious 💗 Once set up, it was clean and practical but still had a nice aesthetic 😎 With so many categories, I started by choosing a set. The 3-item combo set (backrest chair / table box / sunshade) comes with a wagon, which made carrying it easy, and it's the most basic combo so a lot of people pick it. If you're not sure what to get, I'd recommend this combo 👍

The sunshade especially is light and easy to carry, and simple to set up and fold, so I really recommend it!! Just note that without wind it can get hot inside, so renting a fan too is a good tip 😌

I was debating whether to rent it, but I brought the soap bubbles 🫧 — just the look of it was so cute haha. The bubbles came out strong and looked great in photos too, so I really recommend renting them 😎

On the way I picked up takeout dakgangjeong (crispy fried chicken) from Kyus Dakgangjeong at Mangwon Market — it doesn't get better than this, wow. And couldn't skip boksosa (a drink that was hot on Twitter) either. The two together were seriously delicious 🥹

How does QR self-return work at Picnic List Mangwon?

Thinking returns would be tricky since it's unmanned? Not hard at all. Put the borrowed items in the return zone, scan the return QR code, go in, fill out the form, and hand it over — done! Pretty simple, right?
