Today I'm bringing you my review of T Coffee, a place I visited when I wanted to work a bit leisurely in Seongsu and grab a coffee! There are so many famous cafés in Seongsu, but wherever you go during busy hours it's crowded, haha...

T Coffee is a Seongsu café right in the middle of all that where I could spend time relatively calmly while enjoying hand-drip coffee. If you're looking for a place to have coffee alone, or a quiet Seongsu café rather than a crowded one, this might be worth checking out :)

T Coffee is located in the basement level of the JKND building. Heads up if this is your first visit — this is where you might get a little confused!

When you go down to the basement, you'll first see Pizza Slice Seoul. T Coffee and Pizza Slice Seoul are in the same basement space, so if you're looking for the café, don't turn back here — just keep walking further in.

Apparently T Coffee and Pizza Slice Seoul are actually both run by the same company, JKND F&B.

A basement space that doesn't feel cramped
Once you get further inside, the mood completely changes! T Coffee is JKND's café — the same company behind the fashion brand thisisneverthat — and the space itself feels really clean and calm. Even though it's a basement, natural light comes in on one side of the space, so it didn't feel as stuffy as you'd expect.

The space design also naturally divides the seating around a central coffee bar.

The vibe isn't at all awkward for solo visitors, so it should suit anyone looking for a good café to visit alone in Seongsu. There are also a lot of offices nearby, so it seemed like a fine spot for office workers in Seongsu to stop by for a quick coffee.
What I ordered: Ethiopia Guji Gugugu hand-drip and cheesecake

What I ordered that day were two things: the Ethiopia Guji Gugugu Natural Hand-Drip ICE for 8,000 won, and cheesecake for 7,500 won! If you're seated, they bring it right to your table!

It looks so simple but isn't it just so pretty...

I'm quite the coffee lover, so I get really picky about bad coffee — but this was genuinely delicious drip coffee! The cheesecake was just sweet enough to go perfectly with the coffee.
The top was like a pudding, and underneath was a sweet cookie sheet like brûlée! Personally, this one got a big "oh" from me.

Seats where you won't feel self-conscious going solo
I also personally thought T Coffee is a café that especially suits a solo visit.
I really liked that there are seats like this where you don't feel self-conscious using them alone!! If you want to spend time drinking coffee or reading alone, this could be worth keeping in mind when looking for a good Seongsu café to visit solo or a good Seongsu café for reading!

To sum up
T Coffee had a bit of a different charm from Seongsu's flashy, crowded famous cafés. Being able to enjoy hand-drip coffee and cheesecake together in a calm space made it suit me well on a day I wanted to have a leisurely coffee alone.

If you're looking for a Seongsu café and prefer a calm atmosphere over an overcrowded one, this could be worth a visit. Especially recommended if you want to spend time alone or slowly enjoy some hand-drip coffee!
