Walking into Millepollie, you immediately get a warm, calm feeling. The tables and lighting are neatly arranged, and one side has a wide selection of wine, which looked great for pairing with a meal.

They really do have a diverse range of wines you can pair with the food!

What's on the Millepollie menu?
Millepollie's menu ranges from pasta to pizza, gnocchi and steak, so if you visit with a group, everyone can pick something to their own taste.

Out of the many options, I ordered two dishes that day: pesce and Genovese gnocchi. I especially love gnocchi, so I was looking forward to the basil pesto Genovese gnocchi.

Pesce: Millepollie's tomato seafood pasta
I started with the pesce. It's a dish with seafood mixed into a tomato-based sauce, and it had a savory depth from the very first bite.
The tomato had that signature tangy, clean taste, so it wasn't as heavy as I expected, and the seafood added a nice depth to the sauce overall. The noodles held the sauce well, so every twirl brought both the tomato sauce and the seafood flavor together.

Sometimes pasta sauce can feel too heavy or greasy, but the pesce was relatively clean to eat, which I liked. If you like seafood, it's a menu worth trying at least once.

Genovese gnocchi: Millepollie's basil pesto gnocchi
And then, the dish I was especially looking forward to — Genovese gnocchi! Since it's made with basil pesto, the fragrant basil aroma hit first.
The gnocchi had a fluffy yet chewy texture that got more interesting the more I chewed, and the nutty, aromatic basil pesto flavor paired well with it. Personally, gnocchi can get tiring after just a few bites if the sauce is too heavy, but with the basil aroma added, it turned out to be surprisingly clean and easy to eat.

It genuinely became my favorite menu here!!! If you love basil, you absolutely have to try it.

Who should visit Millepollie?
At Millepollie, it's not just about the food — the atmosphere was pretty great too. The space fits well with the relaxed feel of Bamlidan-gil, making it a good spot for a date meal or for when you want a slightly special dinner with friends or family.

I was already so satisfied with what I ate on my last post, and this place keeps delivering satisfaction every time I come. If you're looking for a good-atmosphere Italian restaurant on Bamlidan-gil or an Ilsan pasta place, Millepollie is worth a visit.
