Back in my university days, the first cup cake I ever tried was Crown Bakery's cupcake — and even then I thought the size was too small. These days, cup cakes come in much bigger sizes. They look pretty and are easy to carry, so they'd make a great gift too.

Café Diaz is a fresh cream cake spot you never get tired of eating, even every day. The shop started small in Songjuk-dong, Suwon, but now has 4 locations in Suwon plus a kiosk in Dongtan, as far as I know.

I'd almost call Café Diaz the Sungsimdang of Suwon — that's how much fruit goes into the cakes. Because of that, the cakes themselves are pretty heavy. The fruit isn't just on top; there's fruit inside and on the sides too.

Which cake tastes best? Honestly, they're all good. I'd say just pick based on your favorite fruit.

Every cake at Café Diaz is made with fresh fruit and 100% dairy whipped cream, according to the shop. If I had to name what makes Café Diaz special, I'd say it's this soft cream and the genuinely generous amount of fruit.

To me, it's not even comparable to large franchise cakes. Honestly, once I discovered Café Diaz, I stopped buying franchise cakes. Even if someone happens to gift me one, it doesn't suit my taste anymore, so I just hand it over to my husband haha^^;;
