What is Café Diaz on B1 of Galleria Gwanggyo like?

Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo — I couldn't just walk past it after shopping at Galleria Gwanggyo, on my way home!!! It's already famous as a Suwon café, and I'd wanted to check it out for a while, and now their third branch has opened on the basement floor of Galleria Gwanggyo haha

I was shopping and got a serious sweet tooth, so while looking for a good cake spot in Gwanggyo I stopped by, and the moment I saw the peach cream cake I thought 'can't resist this' and packed it up right away lol

Since it's inside Galleria Gwanggyo, it's really convenient to stop by while shopping. Great for packing a cake to bring home like I did, or for grabbing a coffee and resting for a bit in the middle of shopping haha. It's right next to Suwon Convention Center too, so it's a good stop if you have plans in the Gwanggyo area!!!

Cakes at Café Diaz: mostly fruit and fresh cream

Café Diaz started in 2015 in a 10-pyeong café in a backstreet of Songjuk-dong, and has grown into a 300-pyeong flagship store — apparently it's now one of Suwon's representative cafés.

Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo really stands out for its range of fruit cream cakes. Peach cream cake, mango cream cake, cherry cream cake — the showcase is lined with fruit-packed cakes from end to end, so it's honestly hard to just walk by lol

When I pick a cake I look at the sponge and cream too, but if it's a fruit cake, the amount of fruit really matters to me lol. Café Diaz looked like it had a lot of fruit even just from looking through the glass, so I was already excited before I even packed it.

The peach cream cake in particular was piled high with peach on top, and from the side you could see fruit tucked between every layer — I thought, whoever named this cake nailed it lol

Honestly every other cake looked so good too, it was really hard to choose,,

There's a review event running too, so I'd recommend the route of finishing your shopping and packing a slice of cake on the way out haha

And all-domestic eggs~~~!!

They sell birthday supplies too, so isn't this a perfect stop for getting a friend's birthday ready?!

Signature cream latte and peppermint tea with cake

And everyone, don't just get cake and leave — you have to try the signature cream latte. It's genuinely delicious lol

The cream on top isn't heavy or greasy at all, and it goes down really smoothly with the latte haha. At first the cream side comes through sweet, then the coffee flavor catches it after, so it's not a drink that's just sweet the whole way — you keep drinking it until the end ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

The peppermint tea I also ordered went well with the cake too. The fruit cream cake is on the soft, sweet side, so taking a sip of peppermint tea in between cleared my palate right up haha

The menu I packed to go that day was one slice of peach cream cake!!! It's exactly what it says — packed with peach lol

At first I thought only the top was piled with peach, but when I cut into it at home, the peach was packed all the way through inside too, so I was really satisfied ㅠㅠㅠ One bite in, the peach juice hit before the soft cream did — the fruit's presence was that unmistakable. I just demolished it without noticing;;;

I packed this on my way home after shopping at Galleria, so the location was genuinely convenient. No need to leave the department store to hunt for a café — you can handle both cake and coffee right there on B1!!!

I only packed one slice, but once I finished eating it at home I thought, ugh, I should've just bought two lol ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Next time I go shopping at Galleria, I'm just going to order the whole cake~!!! (The fruit is genuinely packed all the way inside. The name doesn't lie lol)
