What kind of café is Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch?

I first learned about Brewers Coffee in Sinbu-dong from a blog neighbor who's a Cheonan native — I actually paid my own way and visited last year, and it's a genuinely great coffee and pastry bakery café. It's about a 3-minute walk from Cheonan Shinsegae and sits right along the main street in downtown Cheonan, so it's easy to find.

It had been a while since my last visit, and the outdoor terrace had been done up even more nicely — with the good weather, lots of people were using the terrace seats too.

The inside was, as always, packed with people. This café is often full, so checking the wait before you go in is a must!

When I visited around 3pm on a weekend, there was exactly one seat left, but the café was so busy and I had somewhere to be next, so I decided to just get everything to go!

Baked goods lineup and the best time to visit

Brewers is a bakery café where you can enjoy French-style baked goods made fresh every morning, along with the bakery items. It's famous for pastries as much as for coffee, so there's a wide variety of desserts on hand.

The most famous items are the financiers, but the lineup also includes madeleines, canelés, and flan — and it seems the popular items sell out fast. I heard that if you go in the late evening there's hardly any dessert left, so I ended up visiting earlier than planned — if I'd come after dinner, everything I wanted would've probably been sold out. If your goal is to buy dessert at Brewers, I'd recommend going early!

Gift sets of baked goods at Brewers Coffee

True to its reputation as a pastry destination, Brewers also sells gift-wrapped baked-goods sets, which you can conveniently order through Naver Reservation — recommend it for Chuseok gifts or any time you want to give someone bread as a present! The packaging is clean and pretty too, and the set is made up entirely of crowd-pleasing flavors, so I think anyone receiving it as a gift would love it :)

I wasn't able to photograph the menu board myself, so I brought over the photo that Brewers posted. Since Brewers is known for its coffee, it also has a signature menu, a wide range of coffee drinks, and non-coffee options!

Seating and interior mood in Sinbu-dong

The interior isn't huge, so the seats are spaced a bit tightly, but there are plenty of them, and there's a shared table so groups can visit too! Brewers Coffee is always crowded, which somehow makes it a nice atmosphere for chatting, and the interior is done in black and white with wood furniture — a modern style with a warm, emotional touch.

There's a restroom inside, which makes it comfortable to stay a while, and they also sell Brewers Coffee goods and products, which was fun to browse while waiting for my takeout order!

What does the signature Brewers Coffee taste like?

What I ordered: Brewers Coffee, salted caramel financier, vanilla macadamia financier, plain financier.

Brewers Coffee is the café's signature drink — a sweet mocha base topped generously with nutty almond cream. I don't like drinks getting watered down, so I asked for minimal ice, which might make the drink look a bit small!

I tend to like sweet drinks like cream lattes, and from the first sip I understood exactly why this is the signature menu. The almond cream is really generous in quantity, so if you're drinking it in the café, I definitely recommend dipping a pastry into it! Since I was drinking mine on the go, I couldn't dip the financier into the cream — and I regretted that so much, ㅠㅠ.

After the rich, sweet mocha base, you get a long, smooth, nutty note of almond cream — and this really shows its true colors when you drink it straight from the cup without a straw. Since there's so much cream, I'd recommend stirring it a bit into the base before drinking! If you like sweet coffee, you absolutely have to try this!

Comparing the 3 financier flavors

My taste is pretty consistent, so I ended up repurchasing roughly the same combination as before, but the signature salted caramel financier is a must-try dessert at Brewers!

Salted caramel financier

A financier with a crisp outside and chewy inside, coated and baked with Brewers' own special caramel for a richer, sweeter flavor. The savory kick of salt here is the real point of appeal! If this is your first visit to Brewers Coffee, this is the one you have to order and try.

Vanilla macadamia financier

Nutty macadamia meets a sweet white chocolate coating, joined by a subtle vanilla and buttery aroma that doubles the sweetness. It's on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend pairing it with a clean americano or a tea menu!

Plain financier

Like anything, the basics have to be solid to taste good — and this one delivers the caramelized butter aroma and the crisp-yet-chewy, moist texture most clearly. I'd definitely recommend dipping the plain financier into the Brewers Coffee cream, and since it pairs well with every drink on the menu, this is a must-try too!
