Gwanggyo mall café for peach cream cake and iced Americano: Café Diaz

What we ordered at Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo

I visited Café Diaz inside the Galleria, known as one of the best cake spots in Gwanggyo. The moment I arrived and looked at the cake showcase, the visuals were seriously impressive.

There were cakes topped with colorful fruit piled high, along with fig, blueberry, peach, and more varieties — all so pretty I couldn't decide what to get. In the end I ordered the peach cream cake that caught my eye, along with an iced Americano.

Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo location, hours and parking

Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo is located at 124 Gwanggyojungang-ro, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, on basement floor 1 of Galleria Gwanggyo. Hours are Mon–Thu 10:30–20:00 (last order 19:30) and Fri–Sun 10:30–20:30 (last order 20:00).

You can park at the Galleria department store, and it's 1 hour free with a purchase over ₩30,000!! It's a short walk from Exit 4 of Gwanggyojungang Station, and being on the basement floor of Galleria Gwanggyo, it's a great spot to stop by while shopping.

Inside the café and the cake showcase

Walking around the basement floor of the Galleria, I found the DIAZ logo along with the cake showcase — the whole space had a cute, cozy feel.

They also sold number candles and various cake supplies, and whole cakes could be reserved by phone or in person.

They say all of Café Diaz's cakes use fresh domestic eggs.

There was also a review event running — write 3 reviews and get 1 free cake slice,,!!

The staff member was working alone and looked busy, but was still friendly and attentive, which made me happy.

The whole cakes were completely loaded with fruit, and there were also small bottle cakes, so it looked easy to order depending on the occasion.

The fruit cream cake mixes several kinds of fruit together, so it seems like a good choice for people who can't decide what to eat.

How the peach cream cake and iced Americano tasted

Café Diaz's peach cream cake has chunky peach piled generously on top, and more peach tucked between the layers of sheet cake, so it looked sweet just by looking at it.

Since the cake looked sweet, I ordered an iced Americano for the coffee. It was nuttier and stronger than I expected. Americano really is the best match for dessert 👍🏻

The whipped cream was quite sweet and generously piled on, but the cake wasn't heavy at all. The sheet, cream, and peach came together to be soft and sweet, making it great as a dessert. Personally, the cake itself tasted better than I expected just from the visuals, so I was satisfied.

Is Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo worth a visit?

Café Diaz Gwanggyo, which I visited this time, is a good Gwanggyo café to stop by when you're craving something sweet near Galleria Gwanggyo. The cream is sweet, the cake itself is soft, and the fruit is generously loaded on, so I'd recommend it to people who love fruit cake.

If you're looking for a café with pretty cakes or a cake spot in Gwanggyo, this place is worth a visit.
