Babymoon first meal at a Marine City Chinese restaurant: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is an ocean-view Chinese restaurant on Marine City 3-ro in Haeundae, Busan. For the first meal of a babymoon trip with a wife in her final month of pregnancy, the writer ordered suran ganjajang (jajangmyeon topped with a poached egg), seafood jjamppong and a small black vinegar pork tenderloin tangsuyuk at a window seat, and the small tangsuyuk arrived in such a mountain of a portion that they asked twice if it was really the small size. With an outlet at every table and the sea in full view, Bueokgan is an easy Haeundae spot for a relaxed meal.

Why Bueokgan Chinese in Marine City was our first meal in Busan
The first meal of our Busan babymoon was at Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch in Haeundae's Marine City. My heavily pregnant wife had been singing about wanting jajangmyeon for days, and after a storm of searching, this is the place I found.
Today I'm writing about a wonderfully happy trip to Busan. My beloved, heavily pregnant wife and I finally went on the babymoon we'd been waiting and waiting for. The moment we stepped out of Busan Station and heard car horns blaring everywhere, I thought, ah, this really is the city of tough guys, haha.
The whole reason we travel is to eat delicious food, right?! So I thought hard about what our first meal in Busan should be.
Bueokgan Chinese, Marine City

We headed straight there without hesitation. It was one of the Haeundae restaurants I'd had my hopes up for the most. We arrived at the entrance and opened the door.

Inside Bueokgan: private rooms and an outlet at every table
The interior of Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is spacious and comfortable, with no sense of being cramped. I was wide-eyed at the luxurious décor that felt straight out of mainland China.
I've never actually been to China, but I imagine that if I went and walked into a jjajangmyeon place there, it would feel exactly this grand, haha.

A friendly staff member showed us to an open window seat. I just remembered while writing this — there's an outlet at every table, so you can even charge your phone!! Sadly I didn't get a photo of it.
The blue sea stretched out in the distance, and the view was simply amazing. Looking at that gorgeous ocean view, I felt like we'd truly found a proper Haeundae restaurant.
Suran ganjajang, seafood jjamppong and black vinegar tangsuyuk (small)
After carefully looking over the menu, we ordered one bowl of suran ganjajang (jajangmyeon topped with a poached egg), one spicy seafood jjamppong, and one small black vinegar pork tenderloin tangsuyuk. The food arrived shortly after, and the presentation was fantastic. The banchan (side dishes) that came first were clean and simple, no clutter!

I took a big bite of the jajangmyeon, looked up at the sea, and felt an overwhelming wave of happiness.

Breaking open the savory poached egg and mixing it into the noodles with the ganjajang sauce gave it incredible depth of flavor — I couldn't put my chopsticks down.
The seafood jjamppong was amazing too, packed generously with fresh seafood, so the broth was wonderfully refreshing and spicy. One spoonful of that fiery broth and all my travel fatigue melted away, haha. At first glance the seafood looks scarce, but there's a ton hiding underneath, so I'd recommend eating from the bottom up, haha.
And the biggest surprise of all was the black vinegar pork tenderloin tangsuyuk. We definitely ordered the small size, but it came piled up like a mountain on the plate — the portion was massive. I even asked the server again, 'Is this really the small size?' haha. The crispy, chewy texture surprised me a second time.

Is Bueokgan Chinese a good babymoon meal in Haeundae?
My wife said it was so delicious she forgot her morning sickness and ate well, and I felt like we'd really found a great Haeundae restaurant. Beautiful ocean scenery paired with delicious food — it couldn't have been more perfect.
This restaurant gave our babymoon a wonderfully happy start, and I'm truly grateful. From now on, whenever friends around me say they're traveling to Busan, I'm definitely going to recommend this Haeundae restaurant.
If you want to heal your soul with the sea view while enjoying great food, definitely visit Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch. I'm confident you'll make unforgettable memories along with delicious Chinese dishes, haha. Our first food-focused trip in Busan as a family of three (soon to be) ended in complete success. If you're near Marine City, don't forget to grab a hearty meal at this wonderful Haeundae restaurant!
