Once we sat down, we started with a 1:1 consultation with designer Yejin. She carefully went through not just the style my husband wanted now, but also how long he plans to grow his hair, his usual hair condition, and the kind of curl feel he wanted.

I especially liked that the consultation wasn't just 'what perm would you like?' and done — she also explained which parts were better left alone with the growing-out process in mind. My husband was able to fully share the direction he wanted, and watching from the side, I was impressed that she explained things based on his current hair condition rather than just pushing a style. Then, looking forward to the result, the perm got underway in earnest. She carefully handled everything from the heat treatment to the foamy neutralizing process.

Honestly, our usual salon moved and became too far away, so we'd been looking for one nearby. This time, the moment we stepped out, my husband was the one who said, 'should we make this our regular place?'

They said kids' haircuts are possible too, so I'm thinking about bringing our daughter Hani along next time. Kids' hair is different from adult hair, so finding a place we can visit comfortably isn't easy — it'd be great if the whole family could go together.
