Uijeongbu noon BBQ buffet with cheonggukjang fried rice: Muhan Paldo

This is Yuijjing. I love daepae samgyeopsal (thin-sliced grilled pork) so I've been on the lookout for good spots, and that's how I found this place. They have several types of thin-sliced meat you grill right away, plus a self-serve bar with eight different sauces, so I was curious. I especially like enjoying wraps and side dishes alongside the meat rather than just eating meat alone, haha, so this seemed like it'd suit me. It looked good for a late brunch today, so I went to check it out.

Muhan Paldo Daepae Uijeongbu Millak Branch is an all-you-can-eat thin-sliced pork restaurant in Millak-dong, Uijeongbu. Six kinds of meat — daepae samgyeopsal, daepae mokssal, kkotsamgyeop, frozen samgyeop, handon daepae and woo-samgyeop daepae — come with unlimited slushie, ramen, fried rice, and 8 kinds of paldo sauces.

The front of the building is spacious and neatly arranged, and the menu and signage around the entrance are clearly displayed, so even first-time visitors can get a quick sense of the place and its features.

Inside the restaurant and the private room for group bookings

There's a private room space too, so it seems bookings for private events are possible. Haha.

It's a BBQ restaurant inside, but the air felt clean and the tables weren't sticky at all — nice and hygienic.

What's on the self-serve bar: 6 meats, 8 sauces, ramen and slushies

The self-serve bar at Muhan Paldo Daepae Uijeongbu Millak Branch had all 6 kinds of thin-sliced meat, plus lettuce wraps, 8 kinds of paldo sauces, dinner rolls with strawberry jam, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), plain rice, ramen, and even slushies. With ramen and slushies at a BBQ restaurant's self-serve bar, you almost don't need to order a separate drink.

Personally, the cheonggukjang sauce and soy sauce here were so good I have to recommend them! ^^

They even have a microwave so you can warm up the dinner roll and strawberry jam, haha. The inside of the microwave was clean too, which was nice and hygienic~! Right next to it, there was kimchi and gim (dried seaweed flakes) for the fried rice.

Wow... there were so many kinds of ramen. A BBQ place with ramen at the self-serve bar too, isn't that such a good deal? Hahahaha. And what's even more amazing is...

Whoa haha, you almost don't need to order a drink, you could just have the slushie. Hahaha. It looked so refreshing.

Muhan Paldo Daepae prices and what two adults ordered

★What we ordered★ was the adult plan at ₩18,900 (2 people), plus (added on) 2 drinks and (added on) 1 doenjang jjigae.

What a spread haha, we set out a bit of everything on the table. It was fun setting the table like this~ >.<♥ I was so hungry, I had huge expectations!!

Grilling daepae samgyeopsal and beef brisket, with kimchi and mushrooms

Yeeah~~~! Hahaha this is it, this is it~!

We grilled plenty of meat, and then followed up with wooo-samgyeop, getting ready to dig in haha >.<♥

This time I put the grilled kimchi plain on top of white rice for a bite! I have to admit, I really know how to eat, hahaha.

And of course, dipping the grilled king oyster mushrooms in sesame oil and salt sauce~~!

You need doenjang jjigae at a BBQ place, right? Haha. It's reasonably priced even as an add-on, so we ordered it without hesitation. A spoonful of the broth! Ahh~ hahaha, need I say more~~!

Finishing with DIY fried rice in cheonggukjang sauce and a slushie

There were instructions on how to enjoy it best — mix in one of the two special sauces and add whatever ingredients you like before frying it up. We tried the gochujang special sauce.

After adding that, I thought, should I add a bit of the cheonggukjang sauce too? And wow... that was it, that was the move!! Hahaha. I really know how to eat, and finished off with a delicious self-made fried rice.^^ And second, last but not least, of course, the slushie~~ hahaha. I didn't manage to take a photo of the slushie, but it was so refreshing and cleansed the palate perfectly! Awesome >.<♥

There was also an event where participating on Instagram or leaving a Naver review got you 2 doll-machine plays or a free drink, which was a nice bonus!

Waiting, free drinks and how the staff tell you to eat

There's a dedicated waiting area, and you can register for a wait ahead of time via kiosk, which seems convenient when it's crowded. There were also free drinks like slushies (self-serve bar), heotgae tea, and instant coffee available, good for before or after your meal.

Beyond just grilling and eating the meat plain, there were guides showing how to make it into a burger-style dish and other combinations, which made it fun to try something different. Even first-time visitors could follow the guides and eat it their own way, which was fun haha. * I made a burger following the instructions, and also made fried rice with the sauces.

Is Muhan Paldo Daepae good with kids?

Children's tableware and high chairs are available, making it convenient to visit with kids. There were even hygienic aprons available, so you don't have to worry about food splattering onto clothes while eating haha. There's also a kids' playroom facility, so it seemed like a good spot for family meals and gatherings too.^^

Final verdict on Muhan Paldo Daepae Uijeongbu Millak Branch

Since the thin-sliced meats cook quickly once on the grill, waiting time is short when you're hungry, which I liked. It's delicious grilled crispy, and just as good cooked lightly and wrapped with lettuce for a nutty flavor haha. Above all, being able to combine various sauces and side dishes to your taste meant even the same meat could be enjoyed many different ways. Haha. Using the self-serve bar together made it easy to grab vegetables or side dishes to go with the meat, and it was a good place for a group to eat a hearty meal together. If you like thin-sliced meat, this is a place where you can enjoy it in many combinations, and with the kids' playroom and private room bookings, it also seemed like a good spot for a family meal out.^^
