Chuncheon study café with big tables and oat iced latte: Hoot
In short
Hoot is a café and dessert shop at 51-1 Myeongdong-gil in Chuncheon, Gangwon, sitting at the far end of Jungang Market after moving from a small shop near city hall to this much larger space. The order at Hoot was an iced latte swapped to oat milk, an orange yogurt drink and brownie ice cream, and the brownie topped with crushed pecans was the best-balanced dessert tasted in a while. With big tables and wide gaps between seats, Hoot had people working on laptops too — a café worth returning to.

Today I want to introduce Hoot, a mood-lifting café sitting right at the end of Chuncheon Jungang Market — honestly my favorite café visit lately. It used to be a small spot near the city hall, but they've now moved into a much bigger space. My friend already loved this café before, but after the move it's become even more of a good-vibes café... the coffee was already good, and somehow it feels even better now. Let me introduce you right away — this is Hoot, a café in Chuncheon Myeongdong.

Hoot from outside: end of Jungang Market, near Panda Bunsik

It's near Panda Bunsik, famous as the soul food of Chuncheon locals. For reference, I actually had tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) at Panda Bunsik and walked over from there that day. The parking lot here is also really spacious, so driving over is no problem at all.
That black exterior visible from outside already gives off great-vibes-café energy, right? This is the old downtown area, so cafés like this are hard to find — so exciting!
Inside Hoot: big tables and wide gaps between seats

The inside was also really spacious. They could have crammed in more chairs for profit's sake, but keeping it roomy was a genius move. The tapestries and other interior details are so pretty, and honestly, the huge tables deserve a huge shoutout. The restroom was clean too! Customers kept coming in nonstop.
What's on Hoot's menu board, and what we ordered

The menu board is so cute. This place was already famous for coffee when it was near the city hall. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk, my friend got the orange yogurt drink, and for dessert we ordered brownie ice cream.
Hoot's brownie ice cream was worth ordering

Wait, every photo I took turned out great even shooting randomly. What is going on... I genuinely put my heart and soul into taking photos for the first time in a while. On my previous couple of visits when it was near the city hall, I only had coffee with my friend and never tried the desserts, so I ordered this half-unsure — but the quality was so good. So glad I tried it. You absolutely have to order the brownie ice cream, seriously. It's sweet and delicious. Pig Professor's pick!

How Hoot's oat iced latte and orange yogurt drink tasted
This is the orange yogurt drink and the iced latte swapped to oat milk. Even the café's name printed on the cup gives off great vibes. Hoot..! The font is so pretty too. The orange yogurt drink tasted exactly like its name — pleasantly sweet and tangy, close to a fresh fruit latte. I didn't know orange would pair so well with dairy. The latte needs no explanation — you can trust the coffee here. Everyone should definitely try the latte too.

The crushed pecans are what make the brownie work
The brownie wasn't hard at all — it was soft, and the ice cream on top wasn't icy either, with a nice smooth milkiness. The brownie and ice cream combo was truly fantastic.
The kicker here was the crushed nuts sprinkled around it — I think it was crushed pecans — and that one detail instantly bumped up the whole thing's class. The taste of good-quality nuts... soft sweet brownie plus cold ice cream plus that nutty crunch — honestly the best-balanced combination I've had recently. Highly recommend!

Is Hoot a good Chuncheon café for laptop work?
When food isn't good, the photo quality tends to drop noticeably — but that day I basically took some of my best life shots. The latte's balance was so good, and the combination of sunlight streaming in with the interior mood was just magical. The market itself is a bit old, so I didn't expect a place like this to exist here — it exceeded my expectations so much that I sat there for a long while even after finishing my drink.
The café is spacious enough that some people were there doing laptop work too. I'm definitely coming back next time! If you're stopping by Chuncheon Jungang Market, you have to visit! That was Hoot, a café in Chuncheon Myeongdong!
