Today I want to introduce Jsu Beauty Eyelash & Nail, Seomyeon Branch, a place that really knows nail art in Seomyeon. It's right next to Seomyeon Station so it's super easy to get to, and for a one-color gel manicure I was done in just 40 minutes. This spot does nails, lashes, and even eyebrow tattoos — here's my review of a place where flashy art and cute art coexist beautifully. Let's get into it :-)♥

Since they do nail care, lashes, and eyebrow tattoos all in one place, the shop was bigger than I expected :-) There were even two beds!
The prices for lash extensions and lifts were clearly posted both on their site and in the shop, which felt trustworthy. A lot of places don't disclose pricing so openly.
At Jsu Beauty Eyelash & Nail, the owner and two colleagues — three people total — each handle nails, lashes, and eyebrow tattoos separately. I heard the nail technician has been doing this for a long time, haha.
Nail shape samples: why oval won
It had been a while since my last manicure, so the happy dilemma of choosing a shape began! One thing that set Jsu Beauty Eyelash & Nail, Seomyeon Branch apart from other salons was these nail shape samples. Honestly, non-experts often aren't familiar with all the different shape names, so having a variety of samples made choosing so much easier. My nails are kept short for childcare, so I went with oval :-)

There are honestly so many nail salons in Seomyeon, but these samples were exactly why I picked Jsu Beauty Eyelash & Nail, Seomyeon Branch. I'd already browsed their monthly art and samples on Instagram, but seeing them in person — from flashy art to cute little details — made choosing so hard ㅠㅠ
I thought about trying the basic denim-line color since it was my first time, but figured a plain, neutral one-color would be better given the childcare factor, so I decided to pick from the magnetic gel options!
Basic nail care and picking a color
Finally, the basic nail care begins. Since I hadn't had any nail art before this, we started from the basics :-)
This basic care... it sounds simple, but last month I actually got a cut from a file at another shop ㅠㅠ awful. The owner at Jsu Beauty Eyelash & Nail, Seomyeon Branch didn't file too aggressively and worked gently, which put me at ease! (You can feel that comfort in the video too ♥)
Since it's fall now, I debated a warm-toned color, or maybe something bright since it had been so long. I agonized over it, but when the owner saw my skin tone and I mentioned I don't like flashy colors, she recommended about three shades :-)
It was just a quick swatch test, but she carefully used the magnet to spread the pearl finish evenly for each color (so sweet). We tried mostly pink tones, and also a white tone!
After settling on a light pink tone, the actual nail care started in earnest :-)
Spreading the pearl evenly for a magnetic gel is essential! She was really thorough about it. Every time she cured and applied a layer, she did this base-coat-like step under the lamp — without that level of care, the manicure's staying power can drop. I like this kind of thorough process because it boosts durability!

Depending on how the light hits it, it looks pink one moment and white the next, so I keep staring at it ㅠㅠ I really love it ♥
When I checked the time after the whole service, it had only taken 40 minutes! It felt like I got extra free time before picking up the kids, which made me so happy.
