Gimhae burrito set with a Horse beer upgrade: Holstaco Yulha, Jangyu

I was craving Mexican food so badly, and after some serious searching I found Holstaco, a taco spot in Yulha, Jangyu, Gimhae. Apparently people even wait in line for this in Daejeon? Thank you so much for opening a branch in Gimhae. I was so satisfied I had to write this review right away.

Where is Holstaco Yulha, and where do you park?

Holstaco Yulha is on the 1st floor of 82 Gwandong-ro, Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. There's a dedicated parking lot in front (if it's full, you can park along Yulhacheon stream). Naver reservations are also available.

Even the entrance already feels Mexican.

A few main menu items are posted at the entrance, and everything looked so delicious I honestly agonized over what to order before even walking in.

There was even a waiting bench set up at the entrance.

Inside Holstaco Yulha: the room and kiosk ordering

The interior of Holstaco Yulha is full-on Mexican vibes — it genuinely felt like being in Mexico. There are single seats too, so it looks comfortable for solo diners.

You order at the kiosk near the entrance. FYI, takeout orders are also possible.

What comes in the burrito set, and the Horse beer upgrade

Holstaco Yulha has two set menus: the taco set and the burrito set. My fiancé and I were super hungry that day, so we decided to go with a set menu!

We wanted to try a bit of everything, so we ordered the burrito set: chili burrito + birria tacos (2 pcs) + Horse snack + 2 drinks. I was especially curious about the chili burrito. Oh, and we upgraded one of the two drinks to a Horse beer.

We thought about upgrading the side to chili nachos too, but the default Horse snack looked good so we kept it as is.

Drinks and beer options at Holstaco Yulha

Holstaco, the taco restaurant in Yulha, Jangyu, Gimhae, had a great range of drinks too.

There was Jarritos, the Mexican natural fruit soda, and even Jamaica, said to be Mexico's national ade.

There was a good variety of alcoholic drinks too. If it hadn't been daytime, we would've really gone all in. Whatever else you skip, make sure to try a Horse beer.

Baby chairs, water dispenser and hot sauces

Baby chairs were available. There was also a water dispenser, with a candy basket right next to it. I made sure to grab two candies on the way out haha. And on every table, my beloved Rigo hot sauce was already set out.

Tasting order: chili burrito, birria tacos, Horse snack

The Horse beer arrived first. The foam on top was so, so smooth... perfect. Rich food like tacos and burritos paired incredibly well with the cold Horse beer. Highly, highly recommend.

The chili burrito I'd been looking forward to the most. The big tortilla was packed with filling — even half of it was pretty filling on its own. It had that signature savory, salty burrito flavor with a bit of chili spiciness on top.

We piled on the sauce that came with it too. This was my number one pick of the day.

Next up, the birria tacos. This one had that rich, savory flavor unique to birria, and the tortilla-and-meat combo worked really well together. It felt a bit heartier than a regular taco (and that's exactly why I loved it). Like in the video, drizzling lime juice into the sauce and dunking the taco in it was pure bliss.

The cheese stretches so long when you bite in. For the record, I added hot sauce to my taco and it was just the right amount of spicy and delicious.

Last up, the Horse snack! Nibbling on it as a side between bites of the main dishes, it was crispy and tasty.

Topped it with jalapeños, which I love, and took a bite — amazing with beer.

Is the 30,000 won burrito set worth it?

Every single dish was delicious with nothing to complain about at Holstaco, the restaurant in Yulha, Jangyu, Gimhae. Honestly, this place just feels like Mexico. Getting the set meant we could try a bunch of different things at once, which was so nice. And ₩30,000 for all of that is such a good price. I was very happy the whole meal.

If you're looking for a taco restaurant in Yulha, Jangyu, Gimhae, definitely put Holstaco on your list. I'll probably be back here every time I'm craving Mexican food in Gimhae.
