Solo sushi and soju in Cheonan Buldang-dong: Ganghan Sushi 12P

My husband said he was going out to meet a friend, and staying home alone felt a bit sad, so... I went out for a solo drink for the first time in a while :)

The place I picked that day was "Ganghan Sushi Cheonan Buldang Branch"! You can pick and choose exactly the sushi you want to eat, and you can slowly enjoy a drink while you eat, so I really love pairing sushi with alcohol ❤️

Why Ganghan Sushi in Buldang-dong for sushi with a drink alone?

I love sushi in general, and there's nothing more comfortable to eat alone than sushi, so it's perfect as a solo drinking snack! Ganghan Sushi in Buldang-dong is both delicious and easy to get to, so it's become one of my go-to spots!

The interior is clean and there are several two-person tables, so it's not at all awkward to visit alone! I ordered the 12-piece omakase sushi, and added 2 pieces of extra-large flounder sushi and 2 pieces of raw salmon sushi, both favorites of mine!

The croquette salad and udon that come with every order

One of the things I love about Ganghan Sushi is that a croquette salad and udon come free with your order. While waiting for the sushi, you can already start on a glass of soju with the croquettes and udon!!!

With sushi + croquettes + udon, it's more than enough for a full meal, right?!! I think even if you visit for lunch, you'd leave feeling nicely full 👍🏻

The 12-piece omakase sushi: how big were the rice portions?

I started with the 12-piece omakase sushi! Every single piece was so delicious that the soju went down way too easily haha. The balance between the fish and the rice was great, and with so many different types, it was fun eating one piece at a time!

When I eat sushi, if the rice portion is too much I get full too fast, but this time the rice amount was just right, so I could eat comfortably without feeling weighed down. Above all, every single piece of sushi was delicious, so I felt glad I'd come out for a solo drink :)

Honestly, there wasn't a single bad piece in the whole omakase set!! Everything was so good ㅠㅠ I want to go back again 🥹🥹🥹

Adding 2 pieces of extra-large flounder and 2 of raw salmon

The 2 pieces of extra-large flounder sushi and 2 pieces of raw salmon sushi were also amazing — the extra-large flounder really lived up to its name, sitting big and thick, and the moment you bit in you could really feel that clean, chewy flounder texture. The raw salmon never disappoints either — soft and rich, it paired really well with drinks as sushi 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

What makes Ganghan Sushi easy for a solo drink in Buldang-dong

Next time, instead of going alone, I want to come with my husband and share a bunch of different sushi!!! If you're in Buldang-dong craving sushi, or want something clean and delicious, I recommend "Ganghan Sushi Cheonan Buldang Branch"-!!!
